I felt someone tapping on my shoulder. I dropped my hand behind me and a note got pressed into it. I opened it in my lap.

Meet @ BR in 5?

I raised my left arm, signaling that I was going to leave first. "Yes, Miss. Parker?" Mr. Perry asked.

"May go to the guidance office? I have an appoinment."

He sighed but gestured towards the door with his head. I carefully picked up my backpack and made my way out of the classroom, hiding a smile. Mr. Perry was too easy to fool.

I pushed open the door to the Girl's Room and sat up on the sinks. A few seconds later the door swung open again. "Kier--" I started to say but it wasn't her. It was Alyssa. She gave me a mean glare and I quickly looked away. She pulled a Kate Spade makeup bag out of her personalized Longchamp and leaned into the mirror. Her eyes became wide as she began to apply mascara that was probably thirty dollars.

"I know what you're trying to do," she said as she slide the wand back into its place.

"And what would that be?" I asked, my voice dripping with sarcasm. Alyssa snapped her head to look at me and took two steps towards in my direction.

"You stole Grayson from me. Whatever," she hissed, "I only dated him 'cause he's seriously hot." She raised an accusing finger at me."But now you're trying to take the school from me."

"What are you talking about?"

Alyssa snorted as she took out her foundation and started applying it on her face. "Oh, please. Don't act like you don't know. You're growing more popular everyday and I want it to stop."

My head spinned. "Alyssa, I have no idea what you're talking about."

She snapped her powder closed with frustration. "Fine. Don't admit it. Just mark my words: if you try one more thing on me, I will take you down." I was still confused as she grabbed her precious bag and stormed out of the bathroom.

I heard her voice exchanging some heated remarks with another in the hallway. Finally the door opened revealing Kiera. She smiled. "Woah, that girl doesn't wear jealously well."

I nodded. "Tell me about it." Kiera dumped her backpack and sat on the sink next to mine.

"She's right, you know."

I rolled my eyes. "Stop it. Girls ignore me and guys can't even look me in the eye."

Kiera laughed. "That's because they're too busy checking you out!"

"Ha ha. Very funny, Kiera," I said sarcastically.

She held her hands up in defense. "Hey. You know I don't lie."

I nodded my head, considering this. Kiera didn't, and wouldn't lie, even for my sake. "So, does that mean Im actually..."

"Popular?" Kiera suggested. I shrugged. She smiled at my uncomfortableness to ask her the question. "Yes." I grinned stupidly at the news and Kiera laughed. "Now don't let it get to your head..."

I sighed and looked dramatically over at Kiera. "It already has."

Kiera laughed and hit me on the shoulder. "Please. I won't ever believe that. Ellie you are the nicest, most considerate, thought--" I plugged my ears.

"La la la la la," I sung. Kiera laughed and continued talking. A couple seconds later she made a singal that meant she was done. "Thank god. I hate it when people--"

"Compliment you?" Kiera finished.

I threw my hands up in the air. "Exactly!"

Kiera smirked. "See, that just proves how nice you are."
