Tuesday

He couldn't stop wondering why he had to go and say yes to Yoongi. It just complicated things further for him. His emotions were conflicted. On the one side, he liked Jimin a lot, on the other, he'd had a crush on Min Yoongi since elementary school. Added to which, Jimin would no doubt dump him as soon as he found out who he was, after all, teacher-student relationships were wrong. Yoongi already knew who he was and it was no problem. It made sense to choose Yoongi, but he found that recently he didn't like him as much as before. Probably because he really liked Jimin.

He changed into his uniform and headed out to the cafe to do his shift. Seulgi and Hoseok greeted him cheerfully, Hoseok having only just arrived himself, but Sicheng was in the back room sorting out stock. He picked his maths homework out of his bag, deciding to do it when there were no customers. He was in the middle of the fifth question when a finger tapped on the counter in front of him. Following the finger all the way up and Taehyung was looking at Jimin. For the third day in a row. The elder leaned over to see what had all Taehyung's attention and raised a questioning eyebrow when he saw maths homework.

"Why are you doing your brother's homework?" He asked, a humorous sparkle in his eye.

Taehyung quickly shoved the papers under the counter and scratched his head sheepishly. "He wanted some help?"

Jimin chuckled his heavenly chuckle and Taehyung felt his cheeks flame. "You don't sound too sure," the teacher smiled. "Sorry, I'll try not to distract you. I know you're working today. I felt like a coffee and it's just extra luck that you own a cafe."

Taehyung grinned guiltily. "Yeah, it is, isn't it? So, what would you like?"

"I'll have a mocha, I think," Jimin said, sliding the correct money over the counter. Taehyung placed the money in the till and moved to make the mocha. Whilst they waited, Jimin made small talk. "I'd like to meet your brother," he said casually.

Taehyung would have choked if he'd had anything in his throat but as it was he made a sort of squeaky noise which he tried to turn into a laugh. "You wouldn't want to, trust me," he tried to make excuses up so that Sicheng didn't have to find out that he was still seeing Jimin.

"Why's that?"

"Uhh..." That was all he'd had. The only excuse had been used up. "Actually, he's gone out to buy, er, biscuits right now. He'll probably be ages."

Jimin shrugged. "I'll probably be here a while. I was gonna sit in the corner and do some work," he held up his laptop bag.

Taehyung nodded resignedly, biting the inside of his cheek. He slid the finished mocha over the counter and smiled. "It's nice to see you, hyung. And I'll... I'll see if I can introduce you to my brother."

Jimin grinned wider. "Thanks. I kind of want to look out for him at school to get in your good books, to be honest. I've got to know who I'm dealing with," his eyes crinkled and shone as he walked to the empty table in the corner and set up his laptop, occasionally glancing up at Taehyung with a smile.

Hoseok appeared next to him. "Isn't that Mr Park?" He asked.

Taehyung had forgotten that Hoseok knew who he was and now had to panic all over again. Which he really couldn't be bothered with. "Er, yeah. I guess so." If he told the truth he'd regret it. "Does he teach you?"

"Yeah, but I doubt he knows who I am enough to recognise me yet," Hoseok replied, preparing a latte for another customer but occasionally looking over at Mr Park. "But he seems to know you, he keeps looking. Does he teach you?"

Taehyung paused. "Yeah," he said, deciding that it was going to be one of the easier lies to maintain.

He went through to the back to confront Sicheng and ask him a huge favour. "Hyungggg~" He sidled up to him with his best puppy eyes.
