Evie got changed fairly quickly, then her mom joined her in her room, braiding Evie's hair into an intricate hairstyle that resembled a feather. They walked into the hallway, and Evie saw that everyone was there wearing variations of red and gold. Clint's suit was dark maroon, matching Tony's suit. Her mom was wearing her usual outfit with maroon instead of black.

They congregated by the elevator. Peter was wearing a black suit with a red shirt and gold bowtie. It was crooked, very crooked. Evie couldn't help but go over and straighten it. She gave him a wink, making him blush this time. She felt ridiculously victorious, and, after ensuring her mom wasn't looking, gave him a quick peck on the cheek as she looped her arm through Peter's. he turned darker red, making Natasha give him a suspicious look.

He pretended to be at the end of an excessive laugh. It covered the blush. Evie giggled to make it seem more normal. They paired up, Tony and Thor alone. Clint escorted Natasha in, their outfits complementing each other perfectly. Before they walked in the door, they were handed comms units.

"These will tell you if something is confidential or not. Also, if you don't know the answer to something, cough quietly. They'll read you off an answer, just repeat the phrase." informed Tony. Evie noticed the others had already heard this speech. Pepper's voice came through the comms just as Evie put it in her ear. She turned down the volume quickly, wincing.

"Introducing, Mr Tony Stark!" Tony plastered on a fake smile that became real as Evie pulled a face as he entered. He made a sarcastic comment Evie didn't quite catch, but the frown on her mother's face made it obvious that it hadn't been the nicest. Her name was called next, and she walked into the room, making the audience clap a little harder. Clint and Thor's names were called one after another. Peter and Evie would be introduced after about five minutes after the conference started. The clicking of cameras was boring into Evie's head so much she almost missed the queue.

Luckily, Peter pulled her along before she realized and started walking for herself. She pulled her skirt up just a tad for the stairs, being careful not to fall. The cameras clicked impossibly faster, and Evie felt bad for Peter, with his advanced hearing and whatnot.

Evie sat down between Clint and Peter, and the interview flew by. Most of the questions were for Tony, but Evie did have a few. Peter had a few more because he was already known to the public. Nobody asked Evie anything about her family, thankfully. She wasn't sure if she wanted to disclose to the public her parentage.

The press conference ended and Evie was escorted off the stage by Peter. The moment they were off the camera's radar, Peter kissed Evie on the cheek. "Revenge is sweet, isn't it?" he said rhetorically, making Evie blush. "I'm the daughter of Apollo, not Nemesis, idiot," she said, taking off her heels so she could run down the hallway to the elevator. She ran to avoid her (maybe) boyfriend, laughing as the doors shut milliseconds before Peter reached them. 20 seconds later when the doors opened to the hall of suits, Evie dashed into her room.

She headed to the closet before realizing she couldn't unzip the dress. She rolled her eyes as she heard Peter emerge from the elevator, grumbling to himself. She went and leaned against the elevator, watching him. "Unzip me?" she asked, tone feather light. He nodded faster than he should have but he didn't notice. He just agreed, walking into her room.

He pulled down the zipper carefully, making sure not to mess up the outfit. Evie turned around to thank him, but Peter kissed her instead, full on the lips. Evie kissed back after a few seconds of shock. She pulled away, pecking him on the cheek. He winked at her and left, looking like he'd just won a race.

Evie changed into a maroon baseball tee with her feather on it and black jeans, going into the communal kitchen she'd noticed earlier. She was pleasantly surprised to notice it was fully stocked, so she began making pizzas for dinner. She got together the ingredients for homemade cookies. Peter wandered in as she was putting the cookie dough on the parchment paper for baking.
