If anyone asked Evie, she would say that there were three big things that affected her life after the events of the island. Getting married, having kids, and teaching them about Wanda. Three years after the island's terror, Evie and Peter were ready to tie the knot.

Marriage

Evie stood in front of the mirror, hands readjusting a coppery curl. After Evie's emotional climate had returned to normal, her hair had returned to its coppery color as well.  Evie's white dress was beautiful, copper pearls complementing the copper feathers of her wings behind her. Ella smiled. "You go, Evie." Evie walked out the door and into the church, looping her arm around Tony's. They walked down the aisle side by side. Ella and Ari followed, looking lovely in dark maroon bridesmaids dresses. Their pins, copper feathers, matched Clint's and Bruce's who Peter had requested be his groomsmen. Natasha, Thor, Loki, and a few other trusted friends of Evie's sat in the front row, as well as a picture of Wanda, Pietro, and Steve. The remainder of the congregation was friends from various missions, Luci and King Michael included. Evie looked up at Peter in his tuxedo and was weak in the knees. Tony passed Evie off to Peter just as the organ music concluded. The priest said a few words, then asked if the couple had any vows.

Evie nodded. "Peter, from the first day I ever looked at you, I knew we'd be friends. You were swinging from a hammock you'd made, clearly bored out of your mind. When my mom introduced us, I don't think she anticipated the immediate friendship that would bloom. I'm pretty sure there were times when she might even have thought it was a mistake to introduce us, but I know today she is glad she did. I, Peter, am constantly in awe of you. Your devotion to what you believe in constantly inspires me to be a better person. I love you, Peter." Evie had tears of happiness in her eyes.

Peter smiled, practically beaming. "Evie, when I think of you, I remember that you climbed the statue of liberty just because I left a clue for you there. I remember being so nervous about the scavenger hunt because I wasn't sure if you'd like it, or if you'd even remember enough to do it correctly. But then I remembered that you are you, and, of course, you'd do it perfectly. If there's one thing that describes our relationship, it's the fun we have while being complete idiots. I love you, Evie." He, too, was tearing up. Thor in the front row was almost crying.

The preacher said a few more prayers, then he began the whole 'do you' speech. Peter answered the priest with an "I, Peter Benjamin Parker, take you, Evelyn Elizabeth Romanoff, to be my lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part." Evie smiled at Peter while the priest repeated the question. Evie just smiled once more, nodding as she said, "I, Evelyn Elizabeth Romanoff, take you, Peter Benjamin Parker, to be my lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part." There were a few seconds of joyful smiles before a "You may kiss the bride." With that, Evie and Peter kissed, hugging each other tightly. They broke apart holding hands. Peter slipped the ring onto Evie's finger, where it rested against her promise ring. Evie returned the favor to Peter, making it official. The music started up again, and they walked down the aisle, being showered with rice. Applause rang loudly in the newly wed's ears, making them smile.

Kids

Evie stood in the bathroom, clutching the test in her hand. "Peter, honey?" The man walked into their room, looking at his wife adoringly. "Yes?" Evie's hand fell to rest on her stomach. "I'm pregnant." Peter's eyes lit up, and he hugged Evie tightly. "I love you so much, you know that?" said Evie. Peter nodded, smiling. "I'm gonna be a daddy!"

A few days later, the entire team was curled up on the couch, munching on popcorn though the movie hadn't started playing yet. "Guys, Peter and I have some news." Natasha sat up straight. "I'm pregnant." She squealed. "I'm going to be a grandma!" Evie smiled as the team stood up, popcorn forgotten, to give her congratulatory hugs.

At her first ultrasound, Evie laid on the exam table, machine examing her womb. "Wait, twins?" The nurse nodded. "Yep, two. Do you want to know their sexes?" she asked. Peter nodded, looking at Evie, who nodded as well. "One of each, one boy, one girl." Evie smiled, "Perfect." She looked up at Peter. "Names?" He sighed.

A few weeks of name brainstorming later, Peter and Evie were sitting on the couch looking at baby books. "Wait, I've got it. Suzanna May and Maxwell Alexander. Susie and Alex." Evie nodded, happy. "Susie and Alex."

At the end of the nine months, Evie laid on the hospital bed, a baby girl with bright red curls that had changed color three times in the past minute in one arm, and a baby boy with bright green eyes, dark hair, and tiny wings was in the other. Peter was beaming, smiling at his exhausted wife, who was beaming right back.

Wanda

Though the media had painted her death as fair considering her betrayal, Evie and the team never forgot the girl they had loved, and they ignored for the most part what the world though she had amounted to. Evie raised her children to defend their "Auntie's" memory, fighting against the people who said Wanda had been evil. On the day they turned four, Evie and Peter took Susie and Alex, plus little Carmen who would soon turn two, to Wanda's grave. It was in the back of the cemetery in a small town in Arkansas, safe and away from prying eyes.

"This is Auntie Wanda?" asked Susie, looking up at her mom who had Carmen on one hip, while holing Alex's hand. "Yes. And that's her brother, Pietro, and Grampa Steve." Peter picked up Susie, hugging her tight. She giggled at him, poking his stomach. She flicked her wrist at him, covering him with light blue spiderwebs. He grinned, shaking them off. Evie let go of Alex's hand, and he ran off after his sister. Carmen giggled and climbed down, toddling after her siblings.

Susie, who was ridiculously protective of Carmen, immediately picked her up. Alex pointed towards two motorcycles that had just pulled up, and Evie waved. Natasha and Clint took off their helmets, and the kids ran over to them. Evie looked at Peter, circling her hand in the air to create three golden roses. She laid one on each grave, murmuring their names. Natasha had acquired an Alex, who was clinging to her back. Clint was holding Carmen. Susie grabbed Peter's hand, and they walked down the main street of the tiny town, a family full of secrets.

Evie, who lived a full life of laughter and love, remembered many things, but one thing she always quoted as her biggest accomplishment was learning to forgive people, including herself. She could often be heard saying that she'd have had a very different life had she not learned to forgive others. Evie lived her life a living testament to the power of forgiveness so that for the generations to come, there was one phrase that inspired mercy. "Be a copper feather, be an example."
