I sit there motionless, in terror and anger. I clench my fists as the world begins spinning, and I grip the sofa tightly, my knuckles turning white. Scarlett hugs me and suddenly I can't breathe. 'What the hell was he thinking? Did he not get the fact that I don't like him?' Scarlett shakes me violently by the shoulders, knocking me out of my trance. I look at her as she frowns and out of the blue, I can finally breathe again.
"Evelyn, can you hear me?"
I shake my head. "What did you say?"
She smiles. "Congratulations!"
I frown. "Uh, thanks?" I turn my head back to the TV as Prince William begins describing each of his encounters with each one of the girls. After the news goes off, I excuse myself. I walk up the stairs to the third floor, which was 'off limits' and find the Prince's room. I throw open the door and storm in. "What the hell was that?"
He steps out of the closet and turns to me, astonished. He was wearing a towel wrapped around his waist, holding a black suit, white button up shirt, and a black and white tie.
I feel my face my face turn red, it felt like it was on fire. A fire in the fiery pits of hell. I turn around. "Never mind, forget it."
He waves his hands frantically. "I'm sorry, I wasn't prepared for your unexpected visit. But you're welcome to stay." He smirks as signs of discomfort show on my face. "Why is your face red if you don't like me? You shouldn't have a problem with me in a towel if you don't like me. So what's the hurry?"
I spin around, walking to him. I laugh sweet and low like honey and put my hands on his shoulders, slowly sliding them down his chest, abdomen, and back up. I could feel the muscular tone of his abdomen and the wet drops of water falling onto the towel. I lean closer, whispering seductively, my lips a centimeter away from his ears as I run my fingers through his moist hair. "You're full of it. You think I want you, but you can't see through the crap to the reality. It is all hazy in your mind because every girl wants you, except me. Just accept it as it is: I don't want you." I pull away and begin walking away.
He grabs my wrist, pulling me to him. In fact, we were actually touching. His face was literally two inches away from mine. He whispers softly, his voice barely audible. "You may not want me, but you will. So desperately, you will do anything." His lips faintly touch the edge of mine, a kiss so light, I hadn't even realized our lips had touched.
After realization dawns on me, I jerk away. "Not now, not ever." My sweet and seductive tone completely vanished. I walk out the door and slam it. Lynda walks by with a tray of food and raises her eyebrows suggestively, a grin on her face. I shake my head. "No! Nothing happened!"
She smiles. "You don't have to keep it a secret. I wont tell."
"Nothing happened between us!" I half yell.
She nods. "Okay, okay." She winks and walks away. I roll my eyes. 'Great...' I walk to the main room on time for our lessons. I take a seat as Ms. Johnson begins teaching us the history of Avalon. I take mental notes as she continues her lessons before someone softly knocks on the door. Prince William struts in and walks to me.
He takes my hand and kisses it carefully. "If you don't mind, I'd like to steal Evelyn for a little while."
Ms. Johnson smiles. "Of course not, you two have fun."
He helps me stand and whispers to me. "First date, let's enjoy ourselves. Just lets make a real kiss, not like the one up in my room when you were all over me, and I was in a towel. You remember that, don't you?" He traces the outline of my lips before leading me out the door. This was, as much as I hate to admit it, a date. This should be...interesting.
