**Evelyn's POV**

Dinner was quiet; Many girls were murmuring to each other in hushed voices. I was pretty sure it was about Rachel and Prince William considering neither one of them was present. It was kind of bugging me knowing neither of them was here and he had held Rachel behind after breakfast. Again, I wasn't eating a single bite of my food although it looked delicious, but ever since me and William's "argument" where I told him to leave me alone, my appetite had vanished. I hear Ashleigh and Morgan whispering among each other-I wasn't eavesdropping, I just happened to overhear their conversation.

"I think they're on a date or something because Rachel wasn't at evening lessons and we can't skip unless we're on a date with Prince William." Morgan sighs. "Lucky, I want a date with Prince William."

Ashleigh snickers. "In all honesty, I'd rather Rachel be on a date with him than Evelyn. At least Rachel is actually worth his time and is princess material. And, she actually has money."

Morgan laughs. "Yeah, I guess you're right. But, what if they kissed?"

Ashleigh rolls her eyes sassily. "Well considering he's kissed Evelyn twice," she makes sure to add extra emphasis on twice, "more than likely, he's kissed Rachel."

I fidget uncomfortably in my seat. I'm glad they approve of me...not.

Ashleigh turns and faces me, a sneer plastered on her face. She gives an artificial worried look at me and sticks out her bottom lip. "Aw, has the peasant been replaced?" She turns back in her seat and laughs, the rest of the girls laughing except for Scarlett. "Finally done with his play toy? You do know he never had interest in you, right? You were there for his entertainment." She glares at me. "And how was it that you got him to kiss you and go on dates with you? Did you perchance come up with money to bribe him?"

I furiously stand, shoving my seat backwards. "You're just jealous that William wants my company over yours. And why would I have to bribe him when he's actually interested in me, unlike you. I bet you have to pay for everything you get, huh, because your not good enough without bribery. Its a shame you waste your time putting down others who are better than you because you're jealous of their life. But what can I do about it, haters gonna hate." I storm out of the dining area without a single glance behind me.

**Prince William's POV**

After the sky is pitch black with an exception to the twinkling stars, we pack up and head back to the castle, holding hands. Rachel's hand was so tiny compared to my larger one and it was soft, the skin smoothe with no imperfections.

We arrive at the castle and she hugs me tightly. "Thanks for this date. I really enjoyed it and I had a blast."

"Good, I'm glad you had a great time. Maybe we can go on another date sometime soon."

She smiles a big, eye sparkling smile. "I would really love that." She leans forward and closes her eyes and I know I should've kissed her but I couldn't. I didn't have it in me to kiss Rachel on such bad terms with Evelyn, I would regret the kiss if it made things worse between us.

So, I turn my head and walk away slowly. "Have a good night, Rachel." I soon found that no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't stop thinking about Evelyn. Even during my date with Rachel, my mind kept wandering to the subject of Evelyn and found ways to connect Rachel's actions to Evelyn's. And of course, fate would cause me to bump into her. "Uh...Evelyn, hi."

She rolls her eyes and crosses her arms over her chest. "What do you want?"

I throw my hands up in mock surrender. "I'm sorry, I just-I didn't mean to bump into you."
