"You do realize that we are going to be attending the same university, right?"

"Maybe."

"I need to help out Aunt Karen, you know. Jess is taking a gap year but we need to save enough money for her tuition fees as well. I may be getting a scholarship but I do have to pay for other things."

"Hmm, that's fair. I hope things work out, though. So you can come."

"Hopefully."

"So, when are we going to meet? As much as I am nervous, I'm excited too."

"I thought we decided we'd meet next week."

"Yes, but what day of the week. And time and place?"

"Uh, how about Thursday? I can clock out early. We can meet at 6?"

"Sounds good. We meet up at Spilled Beans. It's the one near your shop."

"Thanks, Google maps.  I didn't know where that was because I never leave the florist shop."

"Shut your sass, mister. Hey, do you go to the same high school as me?"

"No, I doubt it. I go to Rain Hill High. I remember the newspaper said you went to a private school."

"Yeah. Oh, I think I know someone there RHH."

"Oh, who?"

"Arrow Henderson. She's a junior that Ivory met when they were volunteering at the old age home back in September 2019."

"Oh, right. I've seen her around with her friend group."

"The girls in your school are pretty."

"Guys too."

"Oh, you're...?"

"I'm out to my family. You don't need to be so cautious, haha. Uh, does it bother you?"

"Of course not. Have you ever dated anyone?"

"Declan Brooks. He goes to RHH. It didn't last long though."

"Why not?"

"It was new for both of us. Then he found someone else. He was nice about it."

"That's cool of him."

"I like you, Alana. I want to keep liking you. You don't have anything to worry about."

"I like you too. I'd like to see where this goes."

"Me too."

"We're graduating in less than a month."

"I know. How're your exams going on?"

"I'm almost done. They've been good. Yours?"

"I've never had trouble with academics before."

"Ah, that's nice."
