(Imagine the bed in the center of the room and bigger.... but this is generally what I am picturing for her room and "the vibe" of it)
"WHAT THE HELL!" I can't believe it. He saw me dancing. I haven't danced in front of anyone since the incident and I just did it without realizing. Breathe Katheryn, deep breathes.
"Wow..." James finally says something. I have no clue what he is thinking at the moment. I mean I kind of laid everything out there. Does he think I sucked? Does he think I look good? Oh my God I'm practically half dressed I realize with a start.
"TURN AROUND!" I yell again scrambling to look for something to cover up with. And... nothing. James didn't even bother anyway.
"What?" He asks with big eyes. Suddenly realization hits his face realizing my state of dress. James checks me out very obviously. His eyes drag up and down a couple times while I blush deeply.
"Hey buddy," I snap, "my eyes are up here." His eyes pop up to meet mine. He seems... stunned. No, of course not Katheryn.
"Why are you up here?" I finally begin to interrogate him. "I mean you weren't supposed to show up till," I turn to look at the clock and see that it is ten minutes after our planned time.
"Yeah well I showed up right on time and rang the doorbell and sat outside for 5 minutes. I checked the door and saw that it was unlocked so I let myself in. I followed the music and... wow." James explains himself. Despite how pissed and self-conscious I feel, I can't blame him.
"I'm sorry I shouldn't have assumed, but honestly I'm kind of not sorry." He continues
"What do you mean you're not sorry?" Okay I wasn't mad before but now...
"Well Kat lets be honest... you aren't exactly the most open or welcoming person. Would you have ever told me you danced or even dance as amazing as you do? Kat that was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. You looked so comfortable and confident, you were putting everything out there. It was nothing like how you look or act at school." James defends his words, "And just saying you look hot as hell..." he says with a wink.
I begin to blush. Not only from his last remark, but from everything he said. He was absolutely right and the fact that he saw right through me was enough to shake me. I snap out of my thoughts to actually pay attention to his last remark and realize I am still sitting in front of him with just a sports bra, Nike Pros, and socks.
"Speaking of, wait right there while I go change," I order him.
"Nooooo," He whines. Despite how weird I feel I smile at his response. Considering that I always wear baggy clothes no one at school has seen my body or what kind of shape I'm in for a while. I walk off purposely trying to sway my hips a bit knowing my butt looks good in these shorts, the old me coming out just a bit. I hear him groan behind me and a smirk pops up on my face.
Once I reach my room I change into some joggers and a crop top. The damage has been done so I might as well wear the clothes I usually wear around my house. After double checking that I have left nothing embarrassing out in sight I walk back to the studio to retrieve James, assuming he stayed put. Surprisingly enough he actually listened to me and was leaning against the doorway when I found him.
"Hey," I try to catch James attention. He looks up from his phone and smirks a bit upon seeing that I was in a crop top.
"So," I kept talking trying to divert his attention to something other than my outfit again," I was thinking we do a quick tour of the house and we can do a bit of 20 questions while doing so. Then we can decide what to do from there. Sounds good?"
