We made sure to turn everything off the cabin. I grabbed my bag and went to close the door of the cabin while everyone was waiting for the shuttle bus to arrive in a few minutes.
*Click!*The door is locked and I go to sit on the porch with everyone else. I pulled out my phone to check the time 4:28.
"The bus should be here any minute." I said to them while rubbing my self for warmth.
"Ok thank you Alexis" Emily said to me
I scroll through Instagram looking at the new posts. I saw that Emily posted a picture of us at the beach. The cation said "Taking a break from school with these lovely people 😉❤️" I trouble tapped the post and continued scrolling.
*HONK HONK*
The shuttle bus was here to pick us up. Emily and I sat together while they boys did the same across from us. There's like 5 other seats couldn't they sit somewhere else.
I untangle my earbuds and plug them into my ears and phone and press my playlist on Spotify. Recently the ads have been annoying but what can I say that's Spotify.
"Alexis wake up we're here again!" Emily said yelling in my ear.
"I fell asleep what?"
That doesn't matter Alex
I got off the bus and since it was Monday we went straight into the school about 45 minutes late. It was currently 7:45 and school starts at 7:00. Why couldn't we just get this day off?!
I went straight to my locker and got my books since I left it all here. I had lit and comp as my first class so all I needed was a book and my notes.
I opened the door and gave my tardy slip to Mrs.Weisher. I sat down at my normal seat next to the window. My class was in the 3rd floor, you could see the whole school and everyone in it.
"I will assign an essay about the book I'm currently handing out. It needs to be descriptive and facts and have a piece of your mind, how you think about each and everyone of the characters. How well do you know the book. I will collect them all text Wednesday. Your free to go class is dismissed" Mrs.Weisher is really passionate about this class sometimes.
To kill a mockingbird
I haven't read this book since I was in 7th grade. That was four years ago damn.
I look for Emily at her locker and guess who's there. Yep it's Jackson.
"Hey Ems" I act cool but I don't like the vibe I'm getting of Jackson.
"Hey Alex what's up?" Emily said while not losing eye contact with Jackson.
"Its lunch time! I'm hungry let's go eat" I say to her
"Then let's go" she says while grabbing my hand in hers and run straight the cafeteria. I hear Jackson and Ace laughing as we left, I just rolled my eyes.
"What hace you been up to?" I ask her while getting food.
"Not much but first class was kinda Boring." Today she had lit and comp which is kind of really boring.
"Oh well at least the next class we all have together" Ace said with a smirk behind us. I jumped a little I didn't expect them to be behind us.
As we went to sit our usual table so did Ace and Jackson, and mark. That was kind of odd I thought they would grab food for one and not sit with us.
When mark saw Ace and Jackson they did that type of guy handshake I will never understand.
"Hey man this is Emily and Alex. Emily and Alex this is mark." Said Ace introducing us
When we finished the boys headed out to the field. Me and Emily followed and they started playing soccer with 3 other boys.
I love soccer I play it all the time with my cousin. She always comes on the weekend. I just look at the tricks they do and the way their legs move.
"Alexis you should go join them." Emily says while looking at me looking in their direction.
" No I'm fine just watching from here. Anyways it's not like I wanna play." I respond back with a little lie. Of course I wanna play.
"Alex I know you want to play so go play with them." She's right I do want to play so I am going to play.
I walk towards the place that they're playing. Ace currently has the ball and I intend to talk it away from him.
I jump in and take the ball from in with my foot from behind I quickly kick it to the opposite side and look at Ace with a confused face but then a smirk is placed. I dribble the ball and I hear ace running right behind me. Mark tells me to pass the ball but since I wasn't sure who's on Ace's team I don't risk it.
I'm almost to the goal to where I can kick it. Everyone is running with me and one of the other guys who are playing is goalie. I try to run faster and kick the ball without letting Ace catching up to me. I kick it and it goes into the goal!
"Yes!!! I made it" I say looking at Everyone. Mark also seems to take the victory. I guess I was in marks team.
"Good job kitten" Ace says looking at me with a real smile. I smile back and I high five everyone and go back with Emily who's still sitting under the tree.
She approaches me with a hug.
"See girl you were awesome" she said
"Yeah It wa-" I was cut off by the bell. One more class to go to before home.
