Alexis Pov

I was currently entering my home with a good smell of homemade lasagna. I haven't had lasagna since I've visited my grandma. I turn around the corner to the kitchen to see-

"Lexi! Oh my baby is all grown up look at her." Said my grandma from the kitchen with my cousin.

"Grandma how are you?" I said back with an excited voice. I haven't see her since I was probably twelve.

"I've been good honey." She said back and I turn to smile and hug my cousin Rose. She lived with our grandma. Let's just say her parents aren't in the picture.

"Rose how have you been!" She's only 2 months older than me. Which is great because she's around my age.

"I've been good but I have great news!" She said

"Hey mom we're gonna be upstairs if you need us." I said to my mom while dragging Rose up the stairs with me.

Rose had told me how her and grandma were gonna stay with us for about 3 months since her house was being reconstructed with a while pipes issue. I was glad they were staying with us. I haven't seen them since in 2 years I feel kinda bad for that. It doesn't matter now since she's staying with us for 3 months and going to school with me.

"Do you want ice cream too?" I asked Rose from the kitchen while she was upstairs in my room picking something to watch on Netflix.

"Yeah and don't forget the popcorn!" She said yelling back. I just laughed in response.

I was glad it was Friday. I almost forgot about the party tomorrow if Emily hadn't texted me she was coming over tomorrow.

"So which one did you pick?" I asked her as I laid down next to her and placed down the popcorn and ice cream.

"Yeah were gonna watch Baby driver!" I rolled my eyes since Emily has been watching this movie non stop. She cries every time.

"Really? Okay." I just sat next to her on my bed.

As I was going to grab a handful of popcorn my phone buzzes. I look over to my notifications.

Ace: Hey kitten are you coming to the party tomorrow?

I had almost forgotten about the party. I should text Emily tomorrow to come over.

"Hey would you like to be interested into going to a party tomorrow night?" I turn to look at Rose. Plus is good that comes to meet new people before starting school on Monday.

"Sure. That would be fun." She says back to me as I just nod back.

"Who's party is it?" She asks me

"This guy named mark he goes to my school with me and Emily." I replied to her back as my phone buzzes again.

Ace: kitten??

Alexis: Stop calling me kitten and I am why do you ask?

Ace: Just wondering. What are you doing currently?

Alexis: I'm watching a movie with my cousin. You?

As I sent the message Rose grabbed my phone. Really Rose really
"Who's Ace huh" she said while raising her eyebrows and looking at me.

"Just some guy from my school. No big deal really. Give me my phone back." She looks at me for a second and then gives me back my phone.

Ace: Hanging out with Jackson. I have to go but goodnight Alexis.

Alexis: Alright Ace goodnight.
