Chapter 10: Yesterday and Tomorrow
This past few days were spent meeting my schedules Yvonnie and I wrote down when we first met. Each day reminds me how my life is slowly changing. After the incident in our flower shop, my sister brought me at the bridal gown boutique where her wedding gown was made. There, my measurements were taken for my made of honor dress. After that she dragged me around the shop to look for inspirations for my wedding dress.
She would pick up wedding dresses, forced me to wear them and every time I came out from the changing room she would cry like a mother. What made her crack up was when the consultant recommended me to wear heels from the shop. Unfortunately it was caught up in the gown and I tumbled down the flat form.
Thanks to that accident it really gave me the idea of what style of wedding gown I would like to wear on my wedding day. Since I insisted to Michele that I'm going to pay for my own gown. I'm going to make sure it's a not-prone-accident one.
I was also able to check the studio Michele mentioned to me. Apparently he own it along with the other commercial buildings lining the street. I must say it's a beautiful studio with minimal changes to do. Base on what I needed that the builder and designer have to work.
The paternity test was also done with the results out within twenty- four hours. Michele delivered the news himself with a triump he couldn't hide. Each night we had dinner together either at my family home or his penthouse.
Weekend has arrived and we were at the tarmac staring at the transportation we're going to use.
"Do you own that plane dad?" Tyrone asked in wonder.
"No, we own it." Michele's hand was around his son's shoulders as he answered him with a smile.
"Cool, you're like a king dad." Tyrone said as he look at his father with hero-worship eyes. "Can I take a look at the cockpit?"
"You can but you have to promise me that you won't touch anything. You don't want us to have a plane crash do you?"
"Okay." Tyrone ran when his father gently pushed him towards the plane.
"Be careful!" I shouted after my son and then looked at Michele. "Will it be safe to let him look at the cockpit?"
"You don't have to worry. My pilot is there to look after him."
I let out a sigh and blurted a thought. "Our son adores you."
"I love him." He looked at me when he answered and I felt something heavy with those words. So heavy that I have to clear my throat.
"So where is the red carpet your highness?" I said, trying to change the atmosphere.
"I never needed it. My presence alone is enough." He said, grinning. "But I won't mind if you want me to carry you princess style."
"No thank you. I don't want to break my neck. As you know I'd been prone to accident lately."
He was about to say something when his phone rang. His body became suddenly tense when he checked it.
"You go ahead, I'll just answer this." I made a few steps when he asked, "Are you sure you don't want me to carry you?" He tried to joke bit it felt stiff.
"In your dreams!" I retorted then turned my back on him.
After doing some business works and having dinner. The father and son decided to play a board game to kill some time. It's amazing how quickly they got along really well despite the years they hadn't knew each other.
"Dad, someday I want to be a pilot." He said when it was his father's turn.
"Last time you said you want to be an animator." I amusingly stated.
