A Love Like Yours

Missing Piece

Nothing felt right....everything seemed so wrong. Something was missing, something or someone but I can't remember. I don't know what or who they are and I'm desperate to find out.

Jungkook walked around the dorm, the only thing he could hear was the laughter of his other members, going downstairs and looking at them, it was incomplete. They were incomplete. He shook his head and left the dorm without a word, going to the park. He stayed there for awhile in tense silence as he couldn't stop thinking about how everything seemed like it had a missing piece to it until someone called out his name. "Jungkook-ah! What are you doing here all alone, out in the cold?"

Jungkook perked up from the voice that shouted his name and turned to face where he heard it come from and there he saw a man with broad shoulders, plump lips, pretty face and gorgeous eyes. The man walked closer to him and smiled, "Miss me?" Jungkook stared at him in awe, the stranger mesmerized him yet he looked too familiar. "Jungkook?" The man repeated, snapping Jungkook out of his daze and finally nodding. "Do I...?" The man raised a brow and chuckled "Know me? Yeah you do, Kim Seokjin? Your hyung? Worldwide handsome?" Jungkook's heart fluttered as all he has seen from the past month that had a missing piece to it started adding Seokjin to it, and it felt right.

"Jin...Jin hyung?" Jungkook said and teared up, Seokjin smiled and touched the younger's cheek, wiping away the tears that started falling. "Don't cry Kookie....it's only been a month since I left" Jungkook stood up and walked around the bench and hugged Seokjin. "Where were you? Where have you been?!"

"I went on vacation idiot, didn't I tell you? I told all of you" Seokjin laughed and hugged back. Jungkook smiled, he was complete, he was finally complete.

The park is where they always met up, Seokjin said for Jungkook to always come to the park if he wants to see him because he couldn't come back home yet, not when his gifts for them hasn't been all bought yet. It was the 31st of March, Jungkook didn't understand why Seokjin didn't go to Yoongi's birthday, they have a close bond. Or had a close bond. Seokjin didn't mind though, he said he'll have the greatest gift for his gummy smile dongsaeng as a sorry and a birthday gift. Jungkook was sitting with Seokjin on the grass, staring up at the sky to look at the bright stars. "Jungkook-ssi" Jungkook looked at Seokjin who was smiling and soon enough, the older leaned closer and kissed him. Jungkook was surprised but kisses back even so, this moment will be memorable to him and he hopes that Seokjin could come back to the dorms so he can finally be with his hyung.

The next day, Jungkook came back to the park and waited yet no one came, it happened three days straight. One time, Jimin and Hoseok went to the park the same time he goes there to meet Seokjin so he needed to ask them if he'll see him. As soon as they came back, Jungkook shouted at them frantically, earning the other members' attention as well. "Did you see him?!" Jimin stepped back a little "See who?"

"Jin hyung! At the park?!" Then silence followed. "Maknae-ah....Jin hyung isn't here" Namjoon said and Jungkook shook his head. "No! I've been hanging out with him for this whole month! That's impossible!" Yoongi glared at the boy even though his eyes seemed so miserable, so desperate to stop the conversation, he looked saddened for the past month, he wasn't even happy at his own birthday is what Jungkook observed. "Jungkook-ah! Jin hyung's dead! He died in a car crash when he went to vacation with his family, he died when he was going to return to Seoul!"  Yoongi shouted and Jungkook was dumbfounded.

"You've been leaving the dorm at 11:00 pm for a whole month, after a week I went there at 12:00 am and I saw you sleeping, yet you were talking...I listened in and the only thing I could understand was Jin hyung's name....Jungkook...he's gone..he's not here....he hasn't been with us since February"  Yoongi told him.

Jungkook stared at them and retreated to his room without a word, locking the door. "No..no..it doesn't make sense..he was real...he kissed me..I was with him..." Jungkook then remembered what Seokjin told him after he left the day he kissed him, "The drawer, look inside your drawer" he repeated and opened every drawer he had in his room. He then saw a bag, a date written on it.

He then remembered the phone call they received the following day, to go the hospital, to the horrible news, Jungkook felt tears coming out his eyes and he opened the bag and saw a box in it, a letter taped on the cover, he took it and read it out loud, even if he's voice sounded horrible.

My dear dongsaengs, I just couldn't wait to give you my gifts, so I decided for it to just be brought there in advance! For now, it could be the greatest gift I could offer, I hope you like it! I love all of you~!

This bag was a part of their mail and Jungkook just decided to put it in one of his drawers as he was too broken from the news he received. Could it be that you decided to stay with me so I can find out about this hyung? Is this the greatest gift you told me about? Is the vacation you mentioned to me the one that rid of your life? Hyung....

Jungkook opened the box and saw six heart lockets inside. The white one had Gummy on it. The black one had Joonie on it. The blue one had Mochi. The green one with a tint of white had Tae on it. The green one had Hobi and the red one had Kookie.

He opened the lockets and he saw pictures in it, each was the first ever picture Seokjin took of them, they all looked so young, Jungkook started crying more and closed the lockets up and turned it around, going by age order, he read out loud. "I- Lo- Ve- All- Of- You" He calmed himself down and wiped away his tears, he had to show the others right away as he knows that they are just as broken as he is. He went downstairs and gave the lockets to the members, for so long he's seen his hyungs cry again and it all ended with a group hug.

That night, Jungkook fell asleep on his bed for once and not the park. The door to his room opened and Seokjin came in, Jungkook looked at him with a smile, Seokjin didn't come close. "Thank you Kookie...I'll love all of you even when I'm gone, I'm sorry for making you live in a dream, but you seemed so broken that this was the only way I could think of to cheer you up and get my message across at the same time. This is the last time we'll see each other...farewell Kookie...hyung will always love you"

When Jungkook woke up, he wore the locket that he put on his nightstand and smiled. A promise by all the members that they will wear the locket everyday and fortunately, it wasn't like any other morning, for once he felt at ease and happy, he no longer felt empty and alone, he spoke softly "I love you too Jin hyung...
