Taehyung closed the notebook after ripping those five notes out, folding them each up neatly and sitting them in a row. He wrote the names on the front of each note and then put the pen down. He was a lot calmer than he expected, his stomach only twisting into knots when he looked at the pocket knife he stole from Jungkook.

The mirror was defogged by the time everything was written. Taehyung looked into it, studying the image in the glass carefully.

"I don't know this person," he said truthfully. He looked at the unfamiliar face in the mirror. He examined the very faded silver hair that almost covered his eyes and the pale lips at the bottom of his face. He touched his cheekbones and felt how much they poked out, knowing his have never been that prominent before. He looked at the small mole on his right cheek, lifting his hand up and feeling the same one on his left cheek.

The man in the mirror was not Kim Taehyung. It was somebody he had never once met before and never wanted to see again. It was a sickly, beaten down man with no light in his eyes. Taehyung knew his own eyes had always been bright. He was always complimented on how they seemed to sparkle even in the darkness.

He took his eyes off of the mirror and looked at his body, which wasn't really his. Kim Taehyung's lips had never touched Jeon Jungkook's. Kim Taehyung's hands had never been secured to a bedpost by shiny metal handcuffs. Kim Taehyung's skin had never before been explored by Jungkook's hands. Therefore, this was not his body. His body died a long time ago. He died a long time ago.

He wasn't about to kill himself. It just wasn't right for him to still be alive even though he died all those weeks ago. It was basically a big 'fuck you' to mother nature and Taehyung really didn't want to get on her bad side. Because of this, he picked up the pocket knife. The knots in the stomach he knew wasn't his were gone.

He wasn't scared to die, so that's what he did.
