Pov (F/N)

I was walking down the street towards the orphanage that I call home. It has been a month since Weiss and I even had even made eye contact which is unusual since she tries to find any moment possible to spend time with me. I then hear a familiar voice behind me.

Weiss: "F/N! Come here for a moment I have great news!" I turn to see Weiss standing with another man who was wearing a tan suit with a Vault-Tec clip board. I make my way towards the two to hear her good news.

"What's up Weiss?" I ask looking at my one and only friend.

Weiss: "Well I was able to get my mother and sister to pull some strings behind my father and... Well I'll let my friend here explain."

Vault-Tec Rep: "Good day sir I'm from Vault-Tec and as you know the world is in a bit of an unpleasant state. We are at war and we of Vault-Tec believe that the big kaboom is inevitable. So it's my pleasure to announce to you that you and the lady here will have a guaranteed spot in Vault 111 when it happens." I look at Weiss who seems to have a huge smile on her face.

"That's great but how did I get on the list?" Weiss turns to me.

Weiss: "I'll explain later we just have to finish somethings first." She motioned to the Vault-Tec Rep to continue.

Vault-Tec Rep: "First you have to fill out this paperwork." He pushes the clipboard towards me and I take it and begin filling out the required information.

"That should do it." I hand the paperwork back to him.

Vault-Tec Rep: "Excellent now I'll just take this and be on my way." He begins to walk away and I turn to Weiss expecting an full explanation.

"Ok Weiss how did this happen?"

Weiss: "Ok my father hates you but my mother seems to like you and my sister tolerates you. So getting them to get you and me in the same vault without my dad knowing was easy. The best part is no one else in my family will be there." I'm a bit surprised.

"Why did your mom and sister agree to have you and me in the same vault?" She slightly turns red.

Weiss: "W-what can I say I'm v-very persuasive." I smile at her. "Don't get the wrong idea I just wanted to get away from my father and I need someone to talk to."

"Well spending the rest of my life in a cave with my only friend sounds great. Now we should head home before it gets dark." She nods and heads the other way towards her house. I'd escort her home but her father wouldn't like it.

Timeskip

I made it back to the orphanage to see our Mr. Handy Cogsworth (totally not Codsworth) trimming the bushes. He notices me and greets me like always.

Cogsworth: "Mr. F/N glad that you made it home safe and sound. You seem to have a very important visitor."

"Great to see you Cogsworth and who is it?" I then hear a familiar voice coming from the door.

Winter: "Well hello F/N mind if we talk for a bit." Winter stood at the door her hands behind her back.

"S-sure Winter." I make my way inside and we go to the backyard to have a chat.

Winter: "So as you probably figured you and Weiss will be in the same vault without the rest of our family. My father is clueless and we'll keep it that way as long as possible. I wouldn't have done this but I did see something interesting." I look at her in a confused manner.

"What do you mean?"

Winter: "I saw someone who looked exactly like you in a gun range." I instantly felt nervous.

"Heh weird coincidence."

Winter: "That's what I thought at first till I asked around and learned that the boy wanted to be the bodyguard of my sister Weiss." She stares at me, I was completely defeated. "Since you really want to be close to my sister and I believe you are her one true friend I agreed to this. I ask that you protect her and never let anything bad happen to her okay."

"Yeah I can do that." Winter gets up and begins to leave.

Winter: "Great now there is nothing for me to worry about. Enjoy your evening F/N. Oh and I told our mother this. Safe to say you really are on her good side." She exits and Cogsworth arrived.

Cogsworth: "Gone already I just put the hot water in to begin brewing some tea. Oh well did everything go well?"

"Yeah Cogsworth everything went swimmingly."

(A/N) I thought that this would be an interesting concept to write about. I plan on doing other Rwby characters as well but in other post-apocalyptic world's and not just fallout. Got any suggestions let me know.
