Mina trudged into her room, throwing her school bag by the door. She shrugged her coat off her shoulders, looking at her soaking socks.
She slipped them off, sighing. As she looked up, she realised the painting was missing a very prominent part.
Taehyung.
"Taehyung?!" She shrieked, realising that he was in the same room as her as soon as she averted her eyes to the left.
"This cat is fascinating" he said, admiring the cat by dangling her by her back left paw. She was screeching to get down, scratching at his arms with her under-developed claws.
"Taehyung let go!" Mina cried, "you're hurting her!"
"Alright, calm down" he snorted, rolling his eyes.
Taehyung put the cat down on the bed, who was more than ready to be picked up and moved away from the strange boy.
"Thanks for assaulting my cat" she sighed, placing her on her new fluffy bed.
"You're welcome" he said, sitting on the bed, "do you want to do something?"
"I have homework to be doing, Taehyung" she said, pulling a mass of papers out of her book bag and throwing them onto the bed.
"That looks hard" he said, "can I help?"
"Since you can't do maths, chemistry or biology, no thank you" she sneered.
"Why are you in such a bad mood today? What happened?" he asked, frowning.
"Well.. its nothing really. It's just that people keep pushing me around. I have no friends, and I'm definitely an easy target. It's not fair, I want to move schools but the only other schools around here are private and we don't have the money for that" she expressed, rubbing her temples.
"Well, I'm your friend.. right?" He asked.
"I guess.." She nodded meekly, "but it's not like you can come everywhere with me"
"I have an idea! Can I come to school with you?" He smiled, "I'll be like your personal body guard. See? I'm strong"
He began flexing his little muscles, jokingly. She smiled, shaking her head.
"Taehyung, you'd get laughed at more than I do for being with me. And besides, you don't know anything about school. I painted you less than a week ago, you're about 5 days old. You're too young"
"Theoretically, I'm about seventeen since that's the age you painted me. So I'm not too young, I'm just too stupid"
"Exactly" she chuckled, flicking through her biology paper, "they'd never let you in school with me anyways. Nobody can know about you"
"Why not?"
"Because I dunno Taehyung. Stop asking me stupid questions and let me do my homework"
He nodded, twiddling his thumbs.
"Ooh! Can I have a banana milkshake?" He eagerly asked, tapping her on the shoulder softly.
"No, Taehyung, you can't have a-"
"Please!" He whined, "they're my favourite out of all of the milkshakes"
"We don't have any" Mina hissed, slamming her pink pen down onto her papers.
"Then what's that in your bag?" He asked, yanking out an entire bottle of banana milk.
"Fine, have it. But at least drink it in your frame. If I get milkshake anywhere in my room, mom is going to kill me"
He giggled, jumping back into the painting. He leaned on the frame, sipping on his milkshake, teasing the cat so he could watch her give him death glares from her little bed.
Mina rolled her eyes at him, but at least he was being quiet.
