The next day was a perfect summer day and Maia and Cameron met in the same place they were before, Cameron was there first though. It was around 2:00pm the time Cameron was there, he brought a Ninja Turtle doll to play until Maia arrived. Maia got there by 2:30pm and walked to the exact same place where they met the day before, and there he was, Cameron, playing with his Ninja Turtle doll. "Hi Cameron" Maia said "Hi Maia! sit down here" Cameron said patting a space beside him an hiding his doll "why did you hide your Ninja Doll when I showed up?" Maia asked with a concerned look "because I thought you didn't like them because you're a girl". Maia was a really tomboy girl, she used to play with little cars and used to dress with jeans and converse instead of dresses like all the other girls, that's one of the reasons why she was always alone. "Well, you can hide it from other girls but not from me, I love Ninja Turtles!" Maia said "wanna play then?" Cameron asked blushing "of course! I have one my own, let me go get it" as Maia walked off to her mom to get her toy, Cameron looked at her and felt different, she wasn't like a friend, but he didn't know about love either because he was just 5.

Maia came back and started playing with Cameron, happy as they could be, running around, climbing walls, going down the slide. Around 5:00pm Maia's mom came "Maia, sweetie it's time to go" Maia was with Cameron at the top of the slide playing with toy cars and Cameron's mom came "Cam, let's go... oh hi! you must be Maia's mom" she said shaking her hand, and that was the time their parents met, so now they were gonna be closer then they already were.

Cameron's birthday was May, 28th, 1999 and Maia's June 2nd, 1999, and the day Maia told that to Cameron was May 30th. Cameron wanted to do something special for Maia's 6th birthday, he went to his mom, and his mom went to Maia's mom to plan a surprise birthday party for Maia. Saturday, June 2nd, Maia woke up and her mom made her a special breakfast "Sweetie, after breakfast go take a shower and get ready cause we are going to Cameron's" her mom told her. She ate as fast as she could and after a good 10 minutes Maia was ready. Her mom took her to Cameron's where she found tons of balloons and a bouncy house in Cameron's backyard, they bothed yelled "SURPRISE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAIA!" Maia ran and hugged Cameron, and since that day, celebrating eachother's birthday became a tradition.
