Maia and Cameron shared memories for a lot of years, but this year was going to be REALLY diferent with their relationship.

Camila's birthday was coming up, she was turning 8, going to 3rd grade and Maia and Cameron where in 12th grade, Senior Year. Maia wanted to go to Yale University, that was her dream university since she was in 8th grade, Cameron wasn't sure where he wanted to go, but he wanted it to be close to Maia.

Today, August 9th, was Camila's birthday, and they invited all of Cami's friends over for a pool party. Cameron and Maia stayed by a side and then went up to Maia's room, they laid down in Maia's bed.

"What are you looking at there?" Cameron asked Maia who was checking her emails.

"This is not possible... oh my gosh..." Maia said with a big smile on her face.

"Remember when I went to Yale University for an interview ?" Maia asked Cameron.

"yeah..." Cameron said, he sounded scared, happy, and sad at the same time.

"I got an email... I got in !..." Maia said.

"You got in ?!"

"Yes !" Maia said, hugging Cameron, smiling. Cameron had a frown, because he knew he wasn't gonna get into Yale with her.

"Mom ! Mom ! Mom !" Maia was shouting coming downstairs,

"What ?! What's wrong Maia ?!" Grace asked.

"Mom, I just got into Yale..." Maia said, tearing up but smiling.

"Huh ? you did ? OH MY ! Maia I'm so proud of you !"

"I'm proud of me too !" Maia said. Libby, Grace, Maia, and Cameron had a group hug. The kids' moms got here so we walked them out. When Camila entered she saw everyone's happy face and asked.

"Why is everyone so happy ?" They looked at eachother.

"Cami, sis... I know this might be sad for you but... I got into a University in New York." Maia said looking at Camila. Camila just stared at her and ran upstairs, upset. Maia ran behind her, she found Camila, crying into her pillow.

"Cami, I'm sorry but..."

"Why did this happen today ? In my birthday ? now I will be all alone." Cami said, with tears running down her face.

"You will not be alone..."

"Yes, I will, mommy works every weekday, all day, and Cameron will be off to college too. Besides Libby being my nanny who else do I have ?" Cami said. Maia kept quiet.

"Listen, I will come as soon as I can as much as I can, I promise" Maia said putting her pinkie out.

"Alright. Promise." They said and gave eachother a hug.

"Besides, we don't know if Cameron will come or he will stay close to here!" Maia said.

"*clears throat* Are you ok Cami ?" Cameron asked in the door

"Yeah... feeling better." Cami said.

"Can I talk to Maia a second please ?" Cameron asked.

"Of course..." Cami gave Maia a hug "Thanks, for everything." she whispered into her ear.

"Maia, I have really bad news, none of the New York Universities would take me, so I needed to apply to another one..." Cameron paused.

"Which one ?" Maia asked.

"University of California, Los Angeles." Cameron said.

"What ? Ca-Cameron, I thought we would do everything to be close to eachother, and you are gonna be in the other side of the country !?" Maia asked, sad and mad.

"It's not my fault ! They gave me a schoolarship, and remember that I don't have enough to pay any university myself" Cameron said.

"The same thing that happen to me with Yale..." Maia said looking down, her eyes where already tearing up.

"Listen, Maia, remember... you were my first love, and NO ONE will replace you ok ?"

"ok, I'm gonna miss you Cameron... a lot." Maia said. They hugged, Maia was crying, she couldn't believe that after everything... they will be going their separate ways.
