A/N: Hey guys! Hope you enjoyed the double update and I'm back from my history trip. It was emotional and has honestly changed my life. Anyway, let's get into the chapter! Enjoy!

Lauren's P.O.V
(Y/N)'s face seemed to be in conflict. Confusion yet, it held so much wonder in her face.

"Come with us." Ally guided the two of us over to this tent that seemed to be in the centre of this camp. It looked to be the biggest out of the camp, almost giving Native American vibes to the atmosphere.

Entering the beige coloured tent, it revealed a roaring fire in the centre while furs clutched to the floor as a few wooden chairs were plotted around the room. There was yet another girl standing in the room, facing away from us as we entered.

She seemed to be petite, short but still taller than Ally. She had tanned skin and chocolate brown hair. Curves complimented her figure in which her mate would surely howl at.

Well, (Y/N) definitely made me howl...even if I was a vampire.

"Camila...(Y/N) is here." In almost a flash, the petite girl who I learnt went by the name of Camila turned around with a shocked expression.

Camila ran up towards my mate who was still by my side, almost talking her into a big bear hug. I would of been lying if I said I didn't feel a twang of jealousy run throughout my being.

'Who does she think she is? Hugging our mate! That should be us...not her!' My jealousy ripped through my vampire half as she hissed in my thoughts. This was one of the rare times in which I actually agreed with her.

"(Y/N)...do you remember me?" The girl finally disconnected from my mate but still cling to her arms as she looked up towards her.

"Should I?" Her face scrunched up slightly in confusion, obviously not having a clue of how she was confronted with.

"It's me...Camila. Your cousin?" The woman smiled brightly. Excitement was just pouring out of the girl. (Y/N) furrowed her eyebrows, almost inspecting the girl in front of her before her eyes widened.

"Camila!" She exclaimed before bringing her long lost cousin into a big hug. The jealousy I once felt was soon gone and my heart swelled at the sight before me. My mate looked content in this moment, happiness pouring from her being.

"How did you escape!? How did you get here? How did you-"

"(Y/N)...too many questions." Camila giggled lightly at my mate's rambling which I honestly thought was the cutest thing in the world.

(Y/N) chuckled lightly as she quickly rubbed the back of her neck out of her nerves. She looked towards my direction and her face was overtaken by a wide smile before she turned back to Camila.

"I'd like to introduce you to someone important." She states before taking my hand and bringing me over to her, her arm wrapping around my waist. Security overtook my being and in a long time, if not for the first time, I felt warm.

"This is my mate. Lauren." Camila's face turned to me and it seemed she recognised me because her chocolate eyes turned a golden yellow. They were almost hostile for a second before returning back to her original eye colour.

"She's your mate. (Y/N)...you know who this is right?" Camila looked back towards my mate, occasionally sparing me a glance in my direction.

I could feel (Y/N)'s hold on me tighten as I felt her pulling me closer into her side.

"I do...and...she means the world to me already." (Y/N) looked down towards me with a warm smile and gaze. Just that look was making me feel giddy. In return, I smiled before hiding my head into the crook of her neck which warmed me.

"Well...this is a shock not to say the least but...don't expect for others to be as accepting." Camila looked towards me when she said this. Even though I hid myself in (Y/N)'s neck, I could hear how her voice was so much louder then when she was talking earlier.

Pulling my head out of her neck, I looked towards Camila before nodding. "I'm willing to pay any price to just stay with (Y/N)." I swore, looking towards Camila as I said ever single word.

In return, I was rewarded with a soft smile from the Latina.

"I'm glad. It's nice to know you're nothing like your parents." Camila's smile never faded as she spoke towards me and I could practically feel (Y/N)'s gaze in the side of my head.

Turning to look towards her, I saw that charming smile I had learnt to yearn for or, even dare say, love. Leaning up towards her, I pecked her lips gently before looking back to her.

"Well...this will be your quarters as you stay here. I'll be outside if you need me or anything." With that, Camila and Ally had made their way out of the tent, leaving me with (Y/N).

"You are something else." She husked lowly before bringing me into a sweet kiss. Melting into it, my hands gently cupped her cheeks, my nails gently scratching the skin as I felt her suck on my bottom lip.

Just the simple kiss made me moan lightly into her while her hands wrapped around my waist. It wasn't long before we were pulling away from each other, running low on oxygen.

"I love you..."

Did my ears deceive me? Did I really hear those words slip from those beautiful lips. It almost felt as if I was reborn and that my heart had finally started beating.

Pulling away from (Y/N) but still keeping close towards each other, I smiled widely as I let those words sink in for just a moment longer.

"I love you too..."
