Who was I kidding when I said I didn't care,
All those memories I couldn't share,
Because you were never there,
You were only a figment of my imagination,
All I wanted was salvation from my love.
I treasured every moment we spent,
But I found that it was never enough,
I tried hard to be better, I was hellbent,
Only to realize that it was hopeless,
I could never make you stay.
I would die for you in a heartbeat,
Would you have done the same?
You left me without a second glance,
Now I am just an object for you,
Only spoken to when your needs arise,
Only then am I of your interest.
You made me feel like a princess,
I gave you so many chances,
You took me to cloud-nine,
Only for the high to fade,
I died when I fell down,
You shattered my heart as if it were nothing,
Over and over again like a song on repeat.
