One day not long after I first got my braces, I was so hungry at lunchtime that I actually ate the spinach in the school cafeteria lunch. Ewwwww! Unfortunately, though, I hadn't figured out how to clean the food off my braces. When my "crush" walked by, I gave him a big smile, not realizing that I had spinach on both sides of my mouth. "Uh, I think you have something in your teeth," he said. I was so embarrassed I never looked at him again.
