Yvanna how could you be stupid? You just gave a kiss to a guy that easily!!
I grimaced and slammed my face on the pillow. "Oh my God!!!" I moaned, mortified of myself. "I can't face him anymore!!!"
It has been three days since I gave him the unexpected peck on the cheek. Three days of faking confidence around him as well. I stood more upright, smirked whenever he looked my way and basically embraced a smugger persona to conceal the screaming embarrassment inside of me. I didn't know what pushed me to suddenly land my lips on his cheek and that frightened me ad nauseum. It was simply illogical to plant a kiss on a person who had been calling you unflattering names after all.
"Seriously, you're scaring me," interrupted a familiar feminine voice.
Raising my head to gaze at her, I whimpered helplessly. "I can't stop okay? I can't stop wondering what went wrong with my brain!!"
I tugged two fistful of my hair with my hands.
"I don't kiss random people. I don't kiss at all!!"
She nodded in what seemed to be a tired, I've-heard-this-a-million-times bob of her head before walking towards the bed and laying down on her stomach, causing the bed to dip acutely.
"You know it's simple," she smiled fondly at my unimpressed reaction.
"No, it isn't."
"Shut up!"
I glared at her to which she countered with a mirthful version of her own.
"Really, all you have to do is take deep breath," She inhaled and exhaled with closed eyes. "Then go back to that day inside his car. What happened? What was the atmosphere?" She paused and looked at me in all seriousness. Although there seemed to be an expectant glaze to it. "Tell me how he looked and not what he looked like."
I squinted at the last bit which caused her to roll her eyes.
"Gosh!!" She flung her arms to the air. "I guess it's true that intellectuals are the dumbest in the matters of romance."
Now my eyes were mere slits, confused and warning. Meanwhile, she groaned.
"I swear," she huffed in a mumbling fashion then cleared her throat. "Okay!! I'll dumb it down for you."
Dumb it down for me?
"What I was trying to say was, in that moment, just before you kissed him, tell me what you thought of him. What did you feel?"
"I told you I panicked and then I didn't know anymore!!"
She gestured for a punch at me as she hissed like a snake.
"You're problem is you won't listen to me!!" she shouted and automatically, I pursed my lips.
"Okay we'll do this slowly. Close your eyes and replay everything. Starting from the time you said some shitty words of wisdom to the end when you kissed him."
Following her instructions, I dived right into my memories and greeted that doom day again.
Three Days Ago.....
"What's so unusual of two losers flirting with each other?"
Without looking, I knew Grey was flabbergasted with my statement. I know because I was so myself, but I had no other choice or our game of charades will go down into flames.
"Yvanna!!" he exclaimed and I held on my stance by rolling my eyes as I faced his disapproving look; my stomach churned unpleasantly. With a final mental huff, I said, "Birds of the same feather, flock together."
