"Please enjoy yourself," said Ruen while giving her a plate.
She sat down and took the plate. In front of her there were so many foods for two people. It looked delicious.
Stew, roasted chicken, bread, and lettuce were served on the table. It was hot, still.
"You cook them all? By yourself?" asked Luna before she ate.
"Yes, since I live alone I should learn how to cook or I'll suffered from famine."
"Well, I don't even cook, I always buy my food," she said and started to fill her plate with stew.
They ate in silence.
"Thank you for the food. It's the best food I've ever had," said Luna after finished her dinner.
"Now, let's have a serious talk," said him with a strong gaze. Luna nodded.
"How do you know my mom?"
"She took me," she replied immediately. "I was an orphan and had no house nor family. Then, your mother found me and brought me to her house." She stopped for a moment. "She raised me like I'm her own daughter. She gave me attention and she often talked about you."
"Me?" his face looked surprised. "I thought she forget about me already."
"She doesn't. Honestly, she is proud to have you. She talked about how you saved her and other people so many times in the past using your magic."
"For real?" he didn't believed what she said.
"Uh-hum," she nodded, "but I never heard about your father nor your siblings."
"You didn't leave with my father?"
"Just your mother, alone."
He kept silent.
"Is it my turn to ask you now?" asked Luna, breaking down the silence.
"Ah, sure, what is it?" he stopped daydreaming.
"Who is Sylvi? A pretty hunter that looks though..."
"She is an illusion," he replied before Luna finished talking. "I can't go out from this forest because the darkness would find my hideout. So, to see the situation outside, I create an illusion and see the whole city with it. I'm searching some clues about the darkness but I found none."
"Amazing, why don't you create an illusion to go overseas to find more clues?"
"My power has its limit," he said with a straight face.
"I get it, my power too," said Luna with a bitter smile.
"You too?"
"Yes, I used to protect your mom with my magic, effacement," she looked sad. "That day, I went to another city that located quite far from the house, my effacement magic couldn't reach the house and the barrel I made wasn't that strong."
"Then?" he asked curiously.
"When I got back, she was lying on the floor, her face turned pale and she was cold. I was panicked but luckily I could control myself. After calming myself down, I started to look for a clue and I found it. It was a small glass bottle that she grabbed. Seems like she caught a small part of it, but it explains it all," she took up a small glass bottle from her bag.
That small glass bottle was sealed with a cork. Inside of the bottle, there was something moving, a dark particle forming like a cloud. It moved so much and tried to escape from the bottle.
It was an exiguous part of the darkness, trapped inside the bottle, in the hand of a girl.
