".... are..... y..... ous?"
The girl stirred from her slumber. Rubbing her eyes in the process. She sat up and looked around the dim room. The faint light that shone through the small bars on her cell door barely light up the room.
She remembered crying herself to sleep after being thrown into the jail cell. She had never been captured before. This is her first time being in a cell. She would be lying if she is not absolutely terrified.
The guards kept her here for the night. What they'll do to her would be revealed by daybreak tomorrow.
"...vital information.....drunks..... important..."
The girl heard someone talking from outside her cell. The person is talking in whispers. So she barely made out some of the words. She got up from her bench a walk to the door. She pressed her ear against it, trying to hear clearer.
"We wouldn't be able to get the information from him, but we could try to ask Diane. Which would definitely require some 'payment' for her to even tell us"
Curious, she tried to peek out from the bars on the door. However, her height couldn't reach the bars. She tried standing on her toes, but was still unsuccessful.
She looked back at her bench and saw a bucket placed in the corner. She glance inside and saw.... something that she rather not talk about. No wonder the cell smells disgusting. The bucket is empty, but not exactly clean.
The girl picked it up slowly and turned it upside down. She placed it next to the door and stood on it. Holding the door to remain her balance.
She peeked from the bars and could make out in the dim light, a hooded person standing in front of a cell next to the one in front of hers. They seemed to be talking to someone inside.
"Sage will cause a distraction near the guard station tomorrow morning. You can act on after hearing the signal", the person, a man, spoke.
The person in the cell seems to be replying to the other but the girl couldn't make out what was being said.
Without warning, the door at the end of the hallway opened with a bang. Two guards came in, leading a screaming man into the room. The girl turned to look at the hooded man, but he was nowhere to be found. As if he just disappear from thin air.
The guards pushed the man into a cell right next to the girl's. There was a long line of swears when the guard locked the cell. One or two words were added into the girl's vocabulary at that time.
The guards exited the hallway. Muttering the words "crazy" and "out of his mind".
A loud clash of metal suddenly resounded throughout the cells. Startled, the girl almost fell off the bucket. 'Did he just threw his bucket?', she thought to herself.
Brushing her bangs out of her face, she looked back through the bars. To her surprise, one of the cell doors opened. The hooded man from earlier walked out.
He walked up to the cell of the newly locked man. "That.... was quite a scene you made there" he exclaimed, sounding a bit baffled. "Never thought you had it in you"
"My talent is not all about my reflexes, blondie" the man in the cell beside her replied, his voice sound much more calmer than earlier. "I'll have you know that I was quite an actor back home" continued the man.
The other man, 'blondie', glanced at the other with a skeptical look. "Sure...". He crossed his arms. "Do you remember the plan? We don't want to mess this up or we will get a big mess in our hands"
