MaximusFelix and I made our way into the room where he claimed he last saw Vagar. It looked to me like this was the armory room since there were a abundant amount of weapons bordering the room on the walls. It wasn't a small room, but there wasn't any furniture which made a lot of space in the center. The room was lit brightly by the chandelier above us and had tall thin windows in each corner of the room. I was truly impressed.
"Where did you see him last?" I asked Felix impatiently while searching the room. "When I find him I'm going to rip him in half..."
"Woah, calm down Max. I'm not even sure he's in here anyway." Felix admitted while observing the weapons.
"What do you mean he's not in here?! You said you saw him!" I yelled. He drooped his eyelids and looked over at me in annoyance.
"Stop putting words in my mouth and stop being a baby, we'll find him." Felix continued tossing me one of the swords that was once hanging on the wall. As I studied it, I realized it was Alexandra's sword and frowned. Felix picked out a spear since his previous one broke and began to spin it between his fingers.
"Do you think Alexandra and Helena are okay?" I asked worriedly. He was busy grabbing Helena's quiver of arrows and bow off of one of the racks.
"Yeah, they're tough. They'll be fine." He answered nonchalantly. My eyes drifted to the floor thinking about all of the possible things that could happen to them.
"Are you sure?" I questioned him again starting to annoy myself. "I'm starting to think we shouldn't have split up."
"Wow, you really do love her," Felix mumbled under his breath but loud enough that I could hear him.
"Huh? What are you talking about?! I don't love anyone." I objected reaching for my sword. Felix lifted an eyebrow at me before sighing.
"Not even Alexandra? You've had your eye on her for some time now." Felix pointed out.
"Felix..." I warned giving him a small glare.
"Don't Felix me! I can't see how you wouldn't love her. She's always ecstatic, so caring that it gets scary sometimes, determined, and obviously strong-hearted if she chose to be a gladiator and to train with you." Felix said quickly. I arched my eyebrows in confusion and shook my head.
"I don't think she-"
"Look, I don't know much about the whole love thing, but I know for sure you two are in love with each other." Felix stated honestly.
"You really think so?"
"I know so."
Before I could say anything else the door flew across the room hitting the back wall. Felix and I took a fighting stance as Titus stomped into the door way. He cracked his knuckles as the corners of his mouth turned up into a sly smile.
"I was wondering where you two ran off to," Titus sneered as he prowled towards us. "It was pretty clever how you took the keys from me. It's also going to cost your life..."
"Well, hello to you too." Felix snarled.
Titus charged at Felix first making the ground rumble in each step he made. Felix sprinted towards Titus as well before throwing his spear to the side and sliding between Titus' legs."Max, we have to get out of here!" Felix called out pointing at the doorway.
"Go on without me, I can handle him." I insisted positioning my grip on my sword.
