Sasuke's POV

Itachi pulled up next to the front doors of our large high school. I heard a mumble of words and Sakura giggling... Again. I rolled my eyes, grabbing my backpack from under my seat before opening the door. "Thanks for letting me have the car today, little brother! I'll pick you up after school," my brother smiled, leaning over the passenger seat so I could see him.

"Hn," I replied, watching the pinkette stumble out. I muffled a laugh, but she still saw me making her cheeks red. Sasori also got out, making his way to the passanger seat. He smacked Sakura's butt on the way, shocking both me and her. "Get in the car, old man," I grunted with a glare.

"Oh, is Sasgay jealous?" He winked, before getting inside. I rolled my eyes and turned back to Sakura. She was still bright red, and didn't know what to do. I grabbed her wrist and began to walk inside. "See ya later, cutie!" He yelled from the car before it zoomed off.

I pulled open the doors, dragging her inside with me. I stopped and turned around to her. "I'm really sorry about him," I sighed, actually feeling embarrassed. "My brother has some weird friends." She smiled, and shrugged.

"I didn't mind," she looked down at our hands. I hadn't noticed that I didn't let go, making me flinch and drop her hand abruptly. An awkward silence settled in and she turned the familiar red. "U-uh, did you finish yesterday's math homework?" She broke the ice.

"Yeah, do you need help?"

"Only on number 96," she looked at her book bag, shifting her weight. I nodded, thinking back to the dreadful homework I was forced to do last night.

"Let's go to the library?" I raised an eyebrow and she nodded. We turned towards the freshman's hallway, straight for the library. The school was mostly abandoned, we had gotten at least 45 minutes earlier than we needed too.

Sakura trailed behind me, the awkward silence still lingering around the two of us. We neared the end of the hallway, the rustling of lockers around the corner consuming my attention. I glanced at the pinkette, who was also curious of the strange sounds.

"Sai! Stop! We're at school!" I could feel the tension wave off of Sakura, who slightly slowed her pace. Half of me suspected she didn't want to see what was on the other side of the corner. An all to familiar giggle waved at the two of us and I suddenly knew why Sakura was so tense. I stopped and turned around towards her. Her hair was covering her face, making me feel a little guilty for her.

"Come on, Sakura," I yelled loud enough for the two to hear. I swung my arm around her waist and kissed her head. She grew even more tense and gave me a shocked look. I smirked and continued walking the opposite way.

"W-wha..." I heard the blonde say loudly. I didn't even pay her a glance, only pulled the volleyball player closer to me. "Sakura! Why didn't you call me back this morning?" She screamed at us, but I only made Sakura walk faster. She was tense under my arm and I couldn't tell if it was from Ino or me straddling her, maybe even both.

"Don't say anything," she mumbled, sternly. I couldn't see her face, making me a little worried. Her arm slowly rapped around my waist, making me a little surprised. It wasn't actually that bad being this close with her. I never really thought of Sakura as being more of a good friend.

I felt a smug smile rub on to my lips, hoping this Sai guy would feel jealous. What ever he did with Sakura really messed her up, at least on that day when she ran into me. Does she even remember that?

We were more than halfway down the hall, still rapped in each other's embraces. She had relaxed and practically melted into me. I let out a relaxing sigh, leaning my head against her lower one. She tensed a little, but quickly relaxed again. "Are you okay?" I whispered, worry bubbling in my stomach, which was odd for me. I usually could give two shits about how someone feels.
