Festive period is gone and everybody has gone back to their various destinations. She has enough clothes,shoes and money given to her by her cousin. Tinu is left with her Uncle, she needs to wake up from being a daddy's pet and face life in the direction it comes. She learned a lot from the family of Adeakin. They are all humble and unique, she learned to be humbled in whatever situation she finds herself in the future. Since the day they saw the black tinted jeep parked infront of their house she never see them again, could it be they didn't see them entering that day?. With whatever it is she's less concerned all that matters now is her admission that is on process.
She has prepared her backpack and set for the journey to Kano, tomorrow is her entrance examination into Nigeria Police Academy. She walks towards where her Uncle was lying on a resting chair reading newspaper and gave him a peck and told him she's about to leave. He looked worried and never wanted her to go by herself but she insisted that she's a grown up girl and needs to be able to face life on her one.
"My daughter if possible I want to go with you but, as you insisted to go all alone there is nothing I can do my eyes are on you and my heart is always with you". Speaking in dialect " Mo fi ori iya ati baba e sin e, ranti omo eni ti iwo i se " "I accomplish you with the creator of your father and mother and always remember the daughter of whom you're" Adeakin already sobbing solemnly " Uncle stop crying " said Tinuola who is almost crying as well. "Whenever I see you I never miss my late brother cos of the resemblance you both share, you're my only relative that I have please come back quick my daughter " he draws her closer.
" It's ok Uncle if you don't want me to go I'll stay " said Tinuola.
"No my daughter you need to go outside there and see how expanded the world is, I'm only saying this cos I'm scared to loose the only relative I have we all know the crisis in northern part of the country but as you insist that's where you want to school there is nothing we can do. We all need to rally round and support you. Take this money add it to the one you have with you " said Adeakin.
" Uncle I have enough money with me don't worry " replied Tinuola.
"I'm giving you this Adeoye, money is never enough for the rich" said Adeakin
"Uncle did you just called me by my father 's name?" asked Tinuola.
"Don't mind me my daughter it's because whenever I see you I see my brother's look in you" replied Adeakin. She collected the money and thanked him.
"Uncle let me be going so that I can get there on time and look for where to do the exam tomorrow " said Tinuola.
"May the Lord be with you call me when you get there my daughter " he rose to accompany her.
"I will Uncle, don't stress yourself trying to accompany me, let me quick be going " said Tinuola. She moved closer to him and engulf him in a warm hug and waved at him. Adeakin that couldn't help the uncontrollable tears streaming down his cheeks stood by the window side and continued to wave until he lost her in sight.
I'm sorry this episode is short and boring. I promise the next episode is going to be more action pack filled.
Now Tinuola has set out to put her past behind and face her future.
