The next couple of days consisted of formulating a plan. I needed to somehow get close enough to Loki to talk to him, but not scare him off. After many plans came and left my mind, I finally decided to just wing it. Catch him off guard, and hope for the best.
After days of trying to setup the perfect time, I finally found a window. It was a small window, but a window nonetheless. I teleported myself into his room, just as he was grabbing a well worn book from the bookshelf in the corner.
"Hello there, Loki." He whipped his head around with the most defensive tenseness in his shoulders.
"Get out of here, you mewling quim," He growled, clearly not amused by this situation.
"No. I am just here to talk. You seem lonely, locked up in here."
        "You do not fear me?"
"Of course not. I mean, at the beginning I did, but only judging from what I had heard from the others. Now I know I was wrong."
"You understand nothing," He said under his breath, but still loud enough for me to hear.
"You are right. So, tell me. Help me to understand. Why did you do it?"
He suddenly got a look of shock on his face, as he took a couple of steps back and looked away from me.
        "Leave."
"Understandable. I will gladly," I replied. I took a decently long look at him before I turned my back and silently walked out of the room.
---Loki POV---
She should be terrified. Why isn't she? Doesn't she know what I have done in my life? She works for these bilgesnipe. She should know. I am not one for sentiment. But, maybe she is right. Maybe I do need someone to talk to instead of reading my books over and over again. Why is she influencing me so much? She is a filthy midgardian that should kneel before me. Why is she dictating my life? I left my room, maybe for the first time in a long time. I silently wandered around until I found Thor doing the same.
"Brother, what are you doing out of your room?"
"I wanted to take a little stroll, maybe take a look around the place that is keeping me captive." I brushed past him and continued with my exploration of the tower. Soon, I heard a wonderful sound wafting through the air. It was a beautiful melody that even my mother sang to me as a child back on Asgard.
In the quiet misty morning
When the moon has gone to bed
When the sparrows stop their singing
And the sky is clear and red.
Without even thinking, I found myself humming the tune to myself, as I was drawn to the beautiful sound.
---Aviana's POV---
I paced around my second home, the music room, as I sang a folk tune to myself and paced around the room, trying to think of another way to convince him to talk. Loki is one of the most stubborn cases I have ever tried to solve. He is so broken, it was almost audible when I talked to him last.
When the summer's ceased its gleaming
When the corn has passed its prime
When adventure's lost its meaning
I'll be homeward bound again.
I continued to pace, making my way over to the music cabinets, checking every instrument with care, making sure they are in top condition.
Bind me not to the pasture
Bind me not to the plow
Suddenly, I start to hear the tenor part of this song, layered on top of my own voice. I whipped my head around to see the ex asgardian prince standing in the doorway, staring at his shoes, like he is expecting them to change color. I continued with the song, basking in the fact that someone else A) knows the song, and B) is willing to harmonize with me.
Set me free to find my calling
And I'll return to you somehow.
Once we got to the next verse, I started to stare him down knowing that these lyrics have to get to him.
If you find it's me you're missing
If you're hoping I'll return
To your thoughts I'll soon be listening
In the road I'll stop in turn.
With that, Loki looked up and looked at me in the eye with a confused look etched into his face, his voice faltering a while ago. I didn't care if he was going to question me, I just kept going.
Then the wind will set me racing
As my journey nears its end
And the path I'll be retracing
As I'm homeward bound again.
I reached down and took his hand, as I looked directly into his eyes, looking for any way to break through.
Bind me not to the pasture
Chain me not to the plow
Set me free to find my calling
And I'll return to you somehow.
In the quiet misty morning
When the moon has gone to bed
When the sparrows stop their singing...
I'll be homeward bound again.
We looked each other straight in the eye as I finished the song. I gave him a soft smile, and I quickly got one in return. It wasn't long before Loki spoke up.
"You were right."

Sorry I missed last week. Instead of updating late, I decided to just miss a week instead. Updates will continue as normal from here on out. :)
