“Four days, Emma. Four days and no text, no call, nothing! … No, you don’t understand, he had already been drinking. How do I know he wasn’t too drunk to remember our conversation? What if he doesn’t even remember seeing me, hearing my apology, or getting my number?! Oh my God, this is terrible. He still thinks I’m a bitch. He doesn’t remember my apology or our conversation afterwards. What do I do, Em?” Emma was back in school and I was still in LA. Emma and I were having our usual late night, dramatic phone call.“Will you chill the hell out?!” Emma exclaimed.“Hate to break it to you Em, but hell isn’t exactly chilled.” I said sarcastically.“You know what I mean. Calm down! He’ll text you. Give the boy time. Plus you still barely know each other.”“Emma, I barely know Ryan. You barely know Aaron. They have been blowing our phones up since Saturday!” I shrieked. Ryan was begging to take me out. He was fun and super hot, but something wouldn't let me say yes yet. I had to know what Harry’s deal was first.“I thought you didn’t care what Harry thought anyways. I mean he’s leaving you alone like you wanted, right?”“…Yeah, you’re right. I should be happy about all of this.” I sighed.“But maybe you really have real feelings for Harry. You did look really happy the other night. I remember thinking that even though I was wasted. I thought it was just cause of Ryan but that’s not who you’d been with when you came up to me.” Emma encouraged.“Those few minutes with Harry did make me happier than I’d been all night. Maybe you’re right. Maybe I do really fancy Harry.” I groaned. I couldn’t believe I’d just admitted to something I’d been fighting for so long.“Okay well I’m gonna go drown my sorrows with donuts. Love ya whore. Byeeee” I said as we hung up. I grabbed my laptop and logged into Tumblr. Maybe hot pictures of Harry, fanfics, and donuts would make me feel better.--------------------------------------------(Harry’s POV)“Louis I’ve given it a week. Should I text her?” I begged. After talking with Leah Saturday night, she was all I could think about. I was a mess after talking to her and drank my weight in liquor; so much for forgetting about her. Louis told me to give it a few days. He was worried she was only nice to me because she was drunk and possibly horny, or maybe just cause she had been a fan. That could be the case so I took his advice, but that was a week ago and I felt like I was dying. We were back in London, but I longed to smell her perfume and gaze into her crystal blue eyes. No one had ever had me this strung out. It was usually the other way around. I was worried. Most girls would have found some way to contact me by now, and I’d be the one who didn’t really care to talk. The fear that Louis was right about her not really being interested was suffocating me. I had to talk to her.“Do whatever you want. I’m tired of you sulking around. You need to get it together, though.” Louis said. He was right. I had to cheer up. And now that Louis thought I should text Leah, my world was becoming a little bit brighter.-----------------------------------------------(Leah’s POV)“Great cut, but we need to run over the second verse one more time!” said Sandra, one of the producers for my next album. “Everyone take a quick break!” I was back in LA and we were already recording for my next album. Talk of a tour was coming up and I had to decide whether or not I wanted to take on the challenge of headlining or just settle with opening for a bigger artist. My career was moving at record speed and it was sometimes tough keeping up with it. I grabbed a water bottle and found a quiet corner to check my phone. Nothing. I sighed a deep sigh and leaned my head back against the wall. It had been one week since I’d talked to Harry at the bar and I was facing the fact that he simply didn’t want anything to do with me anymore. Buzzz. I glanced at my phone.Dinner tonight, pretty please? ;) –RyanI smiled and my fingers quickly tapped against the keyboard. He was really sweet and I needed a friend here in LA. It would be good for me. Besides Harry was thousands of miles away in London so there was no hope for any of that anyways.I’d love to! See you at 8! –LeahGreat! Can’t wait! -Ryan---------------------------------------I pulled my hair back into a ponytail and threw on a little lipstick. I glanced in the mirror and headed to the hotel lobby to call a taxi to meet Ryan. I was wearing a flowy, aqua blue mini skirt with flats and a black top. Just as I hopped into a cab, my phone buzzed. I looked down, expecting a confirmation text from Ryan, saying he was at the restaurant or something, considering I hadn’t heard from him in a few hours. But to my surprise it was from an unknown number. My fingers ran through my lock code to see what the message said.Hi! Hope your week is going well! I’ll be back in LA tonight and I know it’s a little last minute, but I was hoping we could grab dinner? xx -HarrySeriously Harry? You wait until the last minute, while I’m on my way to meet another guy, to ask about dinner? Boys…Harry! I’m sorry but I’m on my way to dinner with a friend right now. Wish I would have known earlier! But maybe another time? :) –LeahSure! I’ll be here for a few more days so I’ll let you know! xx –HarryUgh that boy stressed me out. I was beyond excited that he’d finally texted me, but at the same time I was so disappointed that he didn’t text me sooner. I climbed out of the cab and headed inside the restaurant to find Ryan.Where are you? I’ve been waiting for 30 minutes now. Give me a call, please! –LeahRyannnn you were supposed to meet me an hour ago. Please give me a call! –LeahI’m leaving the restaurant after waiting for almost two hours. Thanks for nothing. –LeahI walked out of the restaurant, tears welling in my eyes. How could Ryan ditch our date?. I just wanted one person to be able to have fun with in LA. I should have known when I hadn’t heard from him. I thought about getting a cab, but I just wanted to be alone so I opted for the twenty minute walk to the hotel. I didn’t want to be recognized, especially when I was so upset, so I walked briskly with my face towards the ground. SMACK! I’d walked right into someone, causing them to spill their fast food everywhere.“I am so sorry! Here, let me buy you some more food!” I apologized, looking into the face of the innocent person I’d just almost knocked over. “Harry?! What are you doing?”“Leah?! I was just grabbing a quick bite to eat before heading to my hotel. Aren’t you supposed to be out to dinner?” Tears welled back up into my eyes, a few of them spilling over onto my cheeks. “Oh, I see.” He said, taking me into his arms. We stood like that for a good ten minutes. He let me cry into his jacket and he stroked my hair. When I decided I needed to pull away, I didn’t want to. I looked up at him and he smiled back at me. “Whoever he was is a complete jackass to let a girl like you get away.” Harry wiped my cheek with the back of his hand. I smiled and bent down to pick up the mess of food still lying on the ground. “No, let me get that!” He said, taking the garbage out of my hand. “How about we grab some Chinese food and get a movie?”“You don’t how perfect that sounds right now.” I smiled and he wrapped his arm around my shoulders as we walked to the Chinese restaurant.
