Sara's POV

I lay in my bed with my eyes closed. I wasn't asleep, but I wasn't fully awake either. I heard my door slowly creek open. "Sara," I heard a whisper.

"Yeah Em?" I replied recognizing my older sister's voice.

"Mom and Dad are taking Matthew on a college tour, so you and I are gonna go to the mall for lunch."

"Awesome!" I smiled. "What time should I be ready to leave?"

"By 11?" she suggested. I nodded.

"Ok, I get out of bed soon." I looked at my clock and saw that it was 8:30. I had some time to sleep. I drifted back to sleep and dreamed of my texting conversation with Finn from the night before. The last texts especially stayed in my mind. "Bye, Ily" Just thinking of it made me smile.

At around 10, Emily came into my room and woke me up. To be honest, if she hadn't, I probably would've slept all day. I went downstairs, ate some cereal, then went back to my room to get dressed. I put on a white shirt with blue sleeves and jeans. Then I brushed my hair and did my makeup (which is basically nothing). I finished getting ready and went downstairs to see that Emily was waiting for me by the door. "Ready?" she asked. I nodded and we walked out to her car. I got into the front seat, and she stood outside of the car for a few seconds looking at her phone.

"Em, you ok?" I asked. She nodded.

"Just texting Mom about the college tour." She turned off her phone and got into the drivers seat. "Off to the mall!" She started up her car and began driving. "What did you and your friends do yesterday?" she asked.

"Oh, just hung out," I answered.

"Didn't something happen with Finn?" She asked. Oh god, was she talking about how we're dating now?

"Uh, what do you mean?" I responded.

"Didn't he have an anxiety attack?" She guessed. Ohhhhh.

"Yeah," I sighed relieved. I trust Emily 100%, but Finn and I agreed to keep our relationship a secret for now. Just in case it accidentally slipped, I had to keep it a secret from everyone...Including Emily. We drove to the mall, and Emily parked in the crowded lot. We purposely parked by Forever 21. We are both obsessed with Forever 21. We walked into the mall, and shopped in Forever 21 for about 20 minutes. Emily kept looking at her phone and texting my Mom.

"How's Matthew doing?" I asked.

"Oh, good," Emily replied without looking up.

"Are they coming home for dinner?" I asked.

"Not sure," Emily said as she typed. I nodded and continued to look around. after we were done, we walked back into the main mall area. "Ok," Em started. "Im gonna go meet some friends in Pink, see you later."

"What?" I asked. "I thought we were shopping together."

"Well I figured you wouldn't want to hag with me," she shrugged.

"But, I do," I said confused. we're usually really close.

"Yeah, but you'd much rather hang out with someone else." As she finished talking, I felt somebody grab my shoulders.

"Sara!" The voice exclaimed. I jumped and turned around to see none other than Finn Wolfhard...

"Finn!" I smiled hugging him. "What are you doing?"

"I was meeting with some people here this morning, so I texted your sister and told her to bring you here." He scratched his neck. "I feel really bad about yesterday."

"Oh my god, Finn," I laughed. "You're the best."

"So once again," Emily started. "Im gonna go hang with my friends." She winked and walked off. So Emily knew... Oh well.

Finn grabbed my hand and we started walking. "Wanna get some lunch?" he suggested. I nodded.

"where do you wanna go?" I asked.

"Anywhere," I shrugged. "But I still can't believe you texted my sister to surprise me." He shrugged.

"I wanted to repay for yesterday...And I promise I won't have anxiety today. I took special meds to make sure of it." I swear I almost started crying. This day was perfect. "so anyway," Finn started. "Is Olive Garden good? I'm paying." He said.

"Yeah, but why don't we just get food court stuff, it's so much cheaper and I don't want you to have to pay a lot."

"Its fine," He assured me. "Nick gave me some money." I smiled and shook my head.

"You're too much Finn Wolfhard."

After we sat down at Olive Garden, Finn took out his phone. "Let's take a picture," he suggested.

"Aren't you worried about shippers?" I asked. He shrugged.

"Let them ship. I dont care anymore," He laughed. I laughed along with him and we took a picture.

We ordered some food, and for the first time in forever, nobody asked for a picture or an autograph or anything. Its super fun meeting fans, but its nice to have some privacy and alone time...Especially when I'm on my first date with Finn. After we finished eating, Finn and I walked back out into the mall and sat on a bench.

"I just realized," Finn said out of nowhere. "I really don't know too much about you."

"Oh," I blushed. I didn't realize that I knew so much about him but he didn't really know me."Well, I dance..." I started. Finn nodded. "I'm not really an interesting person like you." He laughed. "What?" I asked.

"Just because you're not famous doesn't mean you're not interesting," he laughed.

"I know," I blushed.

"So what makes you interesting?" Finn asked. I blushed. This was so awkward.

"Well," I started. "I love to write and read and Im not very popular because of that...Actually, I've never had many close friends until I met you, Noah, Alex, Jack, Millie, and Sophia."

"Well, I was bullied until I was in Stranger Things," Finn told me. "People said I was dumb and ugly, but then after Stranger Things it was almost like they were scared of me." We laughed for a few seconds, but then his face became serious. "Don't let people bother you," he said. "They aren't like you and me...Like the losers."

that was true. Nobody was like Finn Wolfhard
