Sara's POV
——————

"Come on Em, we're gonna miss our flight!" I exclaimed running down the airport hallway.
"Calm down Sara!" Emily laughed. "We have 10 minutes before we start boarding."
"I know, but we can't miss this flight." This was one of the most important flights of my life- The one that would take me to Comic Con LA! I was sent an email asking if I would want to come and hang out at the Stranger Things Booth a few days ago. Of course I said yes. It didn't take much to convince my parents. Emily agreed to take me, and LACC (la comic con) is paying for the flight and hotel.
We reached the area where we would wait for the plane to come and put our bags down. "Sara!" I heard someone exclaim. I looked over and saw Alex.
"Hey!" I smiled as she ran over. Since we both live in New York, we were taking the same flight from the JFK airport. "Where's Noah?" I asked.
"Getting Starbucks," she answered. "I can't wait for LACC!"
"Me either! Have you ever been to a comic con?" I asked. She shook her head.
"It's my first one," she answered nervously. "But I'm super excited... Oh! And we're meeting Sof!"
"Oh right!" I smiled. "Not to be invasive or anything..." i started. "But Noah likes her, right?" Alex laughed.
"Yeah, sorta," she giggled. "He just thinks she's pretty."
I nodded. I didn't wanna be too pushy- The last time we were talking about Noah's crushes, he freaked out. Soon after, Noah came back carrying two cups.
"Hey Sara!" He smiled as he handed Alex a vanilla bean Frappuccino.
"Thanks," Alex smiled. "Noah, I totally forgot, we're meeting Sof tomorrow at comic con!"
"Oh yeah," Noah blushed. Suddenly, a voice talked over the loudspeaker.
"Flight 221 will now begin boarding, would rows 1-7 please come to the gate."
"That's us," I said as we started walking.

Noah's POV
——————-

"Hey Alex," I whispered. She looked over to me and I motioned for her to come close.
      "Yeah?" She asked.
"Can you not make fun of me about the whole Sof thing?" I asked. She blushed.
"Oh, yeah, sorry Noah," she said sadly.
"It's ok, it's just that I'm already nervous about meeting her," I chuckled. "I know it sounds stupid." She shrugged.
"I get it," she said. "No worries, I'll be cool." I smiled as we boarded the plane.

Alex had the window seat, I had the middle, and Sara was on the end. My mom and Sara's sister Emily we're across from us. Alex was staying with me and my mom in a hotel room.
We went through all of the basic procedures for emergencies and stuff, and then we were free to do whatever. Alex hadn't gotten much sleep last night because she was making up work for school, so she took a nap. Sara and I were watching the same channel on our mini TVs when she tapped me on my shoulder. I took off my headphones.
      "What?" I asked.
"Can I ask you a sort of weird question?" She asked awkwardly. I nodded. "What happened last year with Alex and Jack?"
"Oh," I laughed. "This is a long story." I went on to explain how Jack and Alex were best friends for the longest time before they started liking each other. I explained how Jack talked to me at Alex's party, how Alex didn't want to interfere with him and Ellie, and how he dumped Ellie so he could date Alex. It was a crazy story, but it was what brought all of our friends together.
"Now can I ask you a weird question?" I asked. Sara nodded.
"Go ahead," she laughed.
"Why did Finn's Instagram thing say you were just friends?" I whispered. Sara rolled her eyes.
"We want to keep it a secret for now because of all the Ellie and Tessa drama," she sighed. "We don't want to make things any worse." I nodded.
"That makes sense," I said. "I just want everyone to know though." Sara laughed.
"Me too, but they can't," Sara said.
"Do Millie and Sophia and everyone know yet?" I asked. Sara nodded.
"Oh yeah, I texted them that night," she laughed. I guess she was proud of it.

Alex's POV
——————-

I was asleep for the majority of the plane ride. When I woke up, Sara and Noah were texting on our losers party group chat. They didn't see I was awake, so I grabbed my phone and texted on the group chat: hi guys.
Noah's head shot up. "Alex!" He exclaimed. "You're awake!" I started laughing as they stared at me strange.
      "You're weird," Noah said.
"Like you aren't," Sara laughed. Noah shrugged.
"Well good morning," he said as he kept texting on the group chat.

A/N- ok I'm doing things weirdly again! Go read the first half of the next chapter (it'll be marked with dashes to show what's what) and then come back to this

Noah looked up from his phone and sighed. I looks at him and squinted.
"What?" I whispered. He shook his head, but I saw what he was looking at. I got a text from Sophia about Millie and Jacob. They had become official yesterday and Millie had never told us she was dating him. "It's ok Noah," I said wrapping my arm around him. He lay his head on my shoulder and I saw a tear slip from his eye.
Sara frowned and looked at me. I shrugged not knowing what to do. I then whispered to him, "at least you're meeting Sof tomorrow." He smiled and looked at me.
"Yeah," he laughed.

A few minutes later, Noah was texting on a Stranger Things group chat. "Please add me!" I groaned.
"No!" He laughed. "You're not part of the cast!"
"Please Noah, I thought I was your best friend!" I pried.
"You are, But no!" He sighed. I crossed my arms. He looked at me and gave in. "I'll make another group chat with you and Sara in it, ok?" I smiled and nodded.
