Unusual

Chapter One:

Another ordinary day at this park, same old bench I'm sitting on, same old ducks on the lake, but I like it that way it's always quiet a perfect place for me to read while listening to music, and usually go back to my apartment when it's 2:30 pm.

I walked into the big same old elegant entrance of my apartment

"Hey George" I greeted the doorman who happens to be my friend, he lives in the building too, also rich and I have no idea why he took the part time job as a doorman.

"Hi Bryce, how's your day?" He greeted me back

"Same old, same old"

He chuckled, I looked around the lobby people sitting on the same old comfy sofas but one thing caught my eye a piano, there was never a piano in the lobby

"What's with the piano?" I asked George busy opening the door to the people entering

"Hmm? Oh that! The owner decided to put a piano and hire a pianist to play it sometimes"

"Oh" I just said, completely hypnotized by the beautiful Grand Piano

"You could give it a try"

"What? Wouldn't the owner get mad?"

"Nah, he hasn't hired a pianist yet, so I think you're allowed" he was still opening the door

"I think I'll pass"

"C'mon I know you are awesome at playing the Piano"

I really want to play it it was so beautiful, so I went up to the Piano, people don't really care if I was sitting on the piano they were just continuing their conversation, employees busy with their jobs, which made me less nervous and more happily to play the piano.

I sat on the new stool that came with the piano, put my hands on the new beautiful keys and start playing Skinny Love by Birdy, I was so into the beautiful sound of the Piano I felt like everything around me disappeared, it's just me and the Piano.

When I finished I heard applause it made me snapback to reality, I turned around and saw the people in the lobby applauding for me I was in shock and didn't know what to do so I just shyly smiled, I saw the owner walking towards me

"Hello there, do you live in this building?" He said with a kind smile

"Yes sir" I replied nervously, I was afraid he might scold at me for playing the piano, Thanks George for getting me to trouble you made me do this!

"Well would you like to play the piano every evening? I'd like to hire you as the Pianist here in the lobby" he said kindly

"Oh um, you see I was just goofing around here, yes I would like to play this Piano but I can't be available every time because of school and homework"

"Oh that's too bad, but you are very welcome on playing the Piano whenever it's available and when you feel like it" He said kindly again and shook my hand.

"Thank you sir" I said and walked away from the Piano.

I walked to the elevator and pressed the up button and thought that it's been a long time since something unexpected happen in my everyday life I'm used to doing the same old routine I usually do.

The elevator opened still pretty confused on what had just happened I saw A guy with darkish hair with a puppy on a leash, he was rather quite cute, he smiled at me and I returned a smile too, I walked in the elevator

"What floor?" He asked me, He has a thick Australian, Scottish accent which sound awfully familiar

"Um aren't you going to--?"
