"Where are they?" Austin asks as he paces back and forth. They all sat in the lobby of the hotel, waiting for Tim and Adam to return.
"They should have been back long before now." Jenika says with worry in her voice.
"You don't think ...?" Avi starts, looking up at Austin with sadness in his eyes.
"NO! Don't even think that, Avi." Austin says, turning quickly toward the green-eyed man.
"Tim, of all people, knows to be inside by sunset." Rob reassures them.
"Yeah, and there are too many buildings around not to be able to get into one." Kevin adds.
"Should we try and go look for them?" Olena asks, still not feeling to comforted by Rob and Kevin's words.
"HELL, NO!" Chris says, a little louder than he meant to. "And have Tim Foust pissed at us? Besides, we wouldn't even make it off the porch. Those demons would have us the minute we stepped out the door."
"Chris is right." Chance nods. "Tim would want us to stay put, no matter what."
"Tim has ways of contacting us to let us know that they're safe. Why hasn't he?" Avi asks, with a frightened look.
"Knowing Tim and Adam? They're probably busy." Kevin says. "They were outside the old school building the last time we saw them. So that's probably where they are."
"God, I hope you're right." Austin sighs as he sits down next to Olena.
~~
Tim walks over and picks up his clothes and starts getting dressed. Adam watches him with a smile on his face.
"Find something amusing?" Tim asks as he feels the blond's eyes on him.
"I see something I like. You." Adam smiles.
"Just, 'like'?" Tim asks, looking up at his lover.
"Correction, love." Adam chuckles.
"That's much better." Tim smiles as he walks over and sits down beside Adam on the desk.
"Would you be able to turn invisible and go over to the hotel? They need to know that we're okay." Adam says as he glances around the old school building.
"No, the demons would still be able to sense me." Tim says, shaking his head. "And besides, I'm not leaving you by yourself."
"Well, you have to do something or they'll try to come look for us." Adam says with worry in his eyes.
"Hopefully, they know better. Cause they wouldn't make it off the porch." Tim says, shaking his head. "I can contact them by using telepathy."
"Then do it." Adam snaps.
Tim looks at him with a raised brow.
"Please." Adam adds with a sweet smile.
"That's better." Tim chuckles and leans over placing a kiss on his lover's cheek.
Tim closes his eyes and bows his head.
~~
Avi sits up quickly with a huge grin on his face.
"Avi? Are you alright?" Kevin asks of Avi's strange behavior.
"Tim." Avi smiles, causing everyone to look around the room.
"Where?" Jenika asks.
Avi closes his eyes and listens to what Tim was saying. He wasn't for sure how to answer Tim or if he was even able.
'Okay. Stay safe.' He thought with his mind and was surprised when Tim answered with a 'We will. Y'all stay inside.'
Avi opens his eyes to see everyone staring at him.
"They're okay. They're in the old school." Avi grins.
"Thank, God." Austin sighs as he runs a hand through his hair.
"How come they didn't make it back?" Olena asks.
"As Kevin said. They were 'busy' and lost track of time." Avi laughs as he does the finger quotations around 'busy'.
"Sex is going to be the death of him yet." Chris chuckles, shaking his head.
"Actually? It was." Jenika comments with a shrug of her shoulders.
~~
"Done. Happy now?" Tim asks with a smirk.
"Very. Who did you talk to?" Adam asks.
"Avi." Tim answers.
"Why Avi?" Adam asks, feeling a little jealousy arising.
"Well, it's like this. The gang is divided into two sections. One section has the ones that always thinks positive. Rob, Kelsey, Kevin, and Chris." Tim explains. "Then you have the group that's no so positive. Always thinking the worse. Avi, Austin, Jenika and Olena. Chance seems to be leaning toward the positive side. Nate hasn't been here long enough."
"Then how come you chose one from the negative side and not the positive?" Adam asks, still not getting it.
"If I had contacted Rob or Kevin and told them that we were fine, the negative side would only think they were just saying random stuff to comfort them. Get it now?" Tim smiles.
"Oh, I get it." Adam chuckles. "So with Avi, a negative one, transferring your message, it's more believable."
"Exactly." Tim nods.
"You're very observant." Adam smiles.
"They don't call me the mayor for nothing." Tim laughs.
"I have something to say and then I have something to asks you." Adam says as he lays his head om his lover's shoulder.
"Okay? I'll comment and then try to answer." Tim chuckles as he lays his head over on the blond's.
"Tonight was absolutely mind blowing." Adam giggles.
"Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I've never done anything like that before." Tim smiles. "And now, the question?"
"What's outside of town?" Adam asks.
"I don't know." Tim answers.
"You've never been to check it out?" Adam asks, raising his head.
"No. We figured we were sent here for a reason. Whatever is outside of town may not be what we want to venture into." Tim answers with a shrug.
"Aren't you the least bit curious?" Adam asks.
"Oh, I was at first. While I was here by myself. But as others began to show up, we became close. A family." Tim answers. "We have everything we need here. We have protection from the demons. There may not be out there."
"True. But what if we're not really dead but in a coma and if we step outside of town, we wake up?" Adam asks.
"Besides my mom and sister, I have no desire to go back to my life style. I was lonely beyond belief." Tim says, staring down at the floor.
"You mean you wouldn't go back if you could?" Adam asks with a puzzled look.
"No." Tim answers softly.
"Really? Why?" Adam asks.
"Cause everything would go back exactly like it was. There would be no you. No us." Tim answers.
