Autumn Meadows used to live a mediocre life with her little brother and her mother in a big town. They were Six's, but never went without. Everything changed after Autumn's cousin, James, convinced her to join the Selection and she was chosen.

"So are you happy with me now?" Will comes up to me after dinner and asks.
"I was never not happy with you, but yes, now I'm incredibly happy with you." I smile and wrap my arms around his neck. "So what time are they coming?"
"They should all be arriving around noon the day after tomorrow." Will says with a smile. I pull away and nearly skip down the hallway as I walk.
"Thank you so much." I say quietly. I thought about it for a minute and wondered if I'd be sent home tonight but he said he wanted me to trust him and now I'm putting my trust in him.
"You're very welcome. I'm excited to meet them too honestly." He says and looks down at me.
"James probably won't be the most friendly person in the world only because he is like my brother which I guess you can see how you'd be if someone was dating Paige." I shrug.
"I guess so." Will laughs and stops in his tracks and grabs my hand and keeps me in place. "I was wondering if you could come meet someone tomorrow. Nothing to worry about but I might need some help handling them." He laughs nervously.
"Sure. Where do I meet you?" I ask.
"I'll come bring you to my room. It's the only place they are allowed to be tomorrow." He says and my breath catches in my throat.
"Yeah I'll see you then. Bye." I say quickly and turn and leave. I hear him mutter a goodbye and I hope it didn't seem rude. I'd be going to his room? That was scary.

The next day I dress in a short dress today i hadn't worn one in a white but it was a deep blue and extremely soft with off the shoulder sleeves.

Right after breakfast the next day, Will shows up at my door. I was nearly shaking with nervous emotions.
"Look don't worry. It's really not as uncomfortable as you think it'll be." Will tells me. I smile and nod. I head up to the second floor and through the large doors to his room.
The setup of his room was very similar compared to Paige's but instead of a white theme his was blues and grays.
One thing that I only noticed seconds later was the carrier on his bed.
"Thats not a—" I begin but cut myself off. My eyes widen and I suddenly feel a bubble of happiness.
"Baby carrier. Yes." Will says with a grin. He makes his way over to it and picks up a familiar small baby that I knew to be a couple months old.
"That's the princess of New Asia." I breathe as I make my way over to her. Her cheeks were round and puffy and she had big eyes taking after her father more so than her mother. "She's so adorable oh my gosh."
"Yep. This is Maisie. Logan's daughter. Do you want to hold her?" He asks with a smile and holds her out to me.
"Is it legal?" I ask wife eyed as her sweetness pulled out every softness in me.
"Yes, Logan already knows and didn't care. He wanted me to watch her since you know I was getting married and eventually I'd have to have a successor, but also thought it was a good idea not to have me alone with her if I panicked." Will laughs and puts her gently in my arms. He sits on his bed and I sit opposite him.
"Hi Maisie." I coo in a baby voice and rock her slightly. "Why are babies so cute?" I ask Will. He just laughs but I'm left staring helplessly at the mesmerizing baby.
"Hey look she's laughing." Will says gladly. "I don't believe she likes me that much."
"Oh really? Does baby Maisie not like Uncle Will?" I say in a baby voice and turn her towards him. I can see her face get a bored look and I laugh. "I guess not."
"You're good with her." Will says on a more serious note.
"Well I worked with Colton a lot when he was a baby and I mean I'm glad he's gotten more independent so I can work while he's in day care, but I still miss him as a little baby." I say and stroke the child in my arms head.
"I understand that. Do you want a lot of kids?" I realize this small experience was probably more than just babysitting his niece.
"Probably." I stare at Maisie's face afraid to gain eye contact with Will. "Yeah definitely. What about you?"
"I think it'd be up to her because it is the woman carrying the child." Will shrugs, but I still don't look up to meet his gaze.
"I guess that's right." I say and laugh.
"Who all is coming tomorrow from your family?" He asks me.
"Colton and my mother are the only ones allowed to come but since Colton is underage and my mother is not stable enough to be moved, James gets to come with him." I say quietly and while the small bubbles of spit off the babies lips.
"I can talk to them. You can let your aunt and uncle come too if you want them to." Will tells me. I look up now with a big smile on my face.
"Davy will probably stay to watch my mom but Kathy can come." I grin. "Thank you so much." I say as genuinely as I can possibly make it sound.
"My pleasure. I'll talk to them tonight." Will says to me. I look down at Maisie and Pat down the thin curls on her head.
I couldn't have been so happy and conflicting at the same time. I wondered what every little gesture he made to me meant and it scared me to death.
