"Thank you."

"No, thank you."

The lady that was now working at the store was very nice, she must be new because the old workers weren't very polite. She picked the things she bought, which weren't a lot just the pads she needed and a chocolate bar and made her way out of the small place. She had to carry them in her hands because they didn't give her a grocery bag due to the number of items she bought. She unwrapped the chocolate bar and began eating it while walking out of the store and to the flat. It was really emarassing to carry the pads so she tried as hard as she could to hide them. While eating the bar the wind somehow got a bit stronger and messed up her hair. Now it was all over her eyes. She wasn't paying any attention while trying to remove it and she bumped into someone. Both her chocolate and pads were now on the ground and just as she was about to raise her head and see who she hit with, the person spoke.

"Hey," That voice, she could recognize it anytime, even at 2 am, it was like an unforgettable catchy melody.

"i am so sorry" He started apologizing and bent down to pick up the things.

"Uh it's a no big deal really, you don't have to do that." Her cheeks were now burning red and she was feeling extremely hot. He only picked the pads just because the chocolate bar was ruined and a bit smashed on the ground. He stared at the pads for a second until he have them back to her.

"You dropped this." He was about to burst out of laughter while he was holding them, god now he seemed so immature, like a little boy. She took the pads and he made one of those weird coughs and continued.

"Eh, um your chocolate bar is kinda ruined." He had his hand on his back and a smile appeared on his face.

"I'm sorry about it, we could go and I could buy you another one, if you want?" He was acting very strange. His attitude wasn't the same like when they were around his mother. Did he want his mother to think her son is one of those bad boys? She wasn't sure if he was joking or not so she didn't really know how to answer him.

"I'm not joking if you were wondering that." It's like he read her mind. Well, it would be rude if she didn't accept right? It's just a chocolate bar, nothing more nothing less.

"Uh well um alright."

"Why are you acting so nervous am I that scary?"  He asked still having that stupid and adorable smile.

"No you're not, it's just I don't usually talk to guys and it's just um ... weird." He now began walking towards the little shop to buy her that chocolate bar he promised her. As she finished her answer she began following him and tugging her hair behind her ears, it was something she always did when she felt nervous.

"I don't see a problem, I mean we're just like your girlfriends except that we don't have boobs we have-"

"I get it Luke." She interrupted him because she didn't want him to finish that sentence.

"And I see you're not the type of a girl who is into the dirty stuff. Have you ever sweared at something or someone?" He seemed very surpised, maybe because he wasn't used to being around people who don't usually swear.

"Uh, maybe I don't really know."

"You can't be serious." Luke was now all eyes and ears and still couldn't believe the answer he got.

They got lost in the conversation and didn't noticed that they were already in front of the store.

"I'll be back in a sec, don't go anywhere." He said and jogged to the entrance. A minute passed and he was back with a new chocolate bar in his hand. He got closer to her and handed it.

"Here, a promise is a promise." She didn't say anything, just took the bar and smiled shyly.

"I heard my mom saying you and your grandmother were coming to help her clean the house later, is it true?"

"Yeah I mean I don't have anything better to do, um so why not help them. Aren't you going to give us a hand?" She was now wondering if he had gone out just so he wouldn't see her, because he obviously know they were coming to their house. Why would she even care it's none of her business and it's not like he was dying to see her, like she was. Damn, this boy was playing with her mind which was now a total mess.

"Me? Cleaning? You're out of your mind." He said that withing laughs.

"I don't do cleaning. It's no fun." He was so confident in his words.

"If you know how to make it look like it is, trust me you'll have fun. I used to hate it but my friend made me help her clean her room and well I just couldn't say no, so we put on some tunes and got down to work." She now remembered the times they both spent together, she missed her best friend and yet again she forgot to ask her nonna when they were coming here.

"So you're saying that you'll help me clean my room, cause my mom told me straight away she wouldn't do it for me because I wasn't a baby anymore. You're gonna help me right?"

It would be no harm to help him clean his room, plus she was very curious how a boy's room looked like, was it really messy as people explain it?

"Alright then I'll help you."

There was an awkward silence for a few seconds.

"C'mon lets go your grandmother must be at my place by now and maybe they even started cleaning without us, what a pity." Laughter filled the air around both of them as they continued walking  back to his house.
