It was nearly dinner time when both of them got up from the ground and walked inside the kitchen. Her nonna had been cooking something delicious, she could smell it all the way from her room. As the three of them sat on the dinner table, she could notice Calum's smirk as he watched down where his hands were placed. 

Her nonna was also acting strange, putting her in position where she wondered what was actually happening, what she missed.

"There's something else we wanted to tell you Lia."

Her heart began to race as she thought of the worst thing they could tell her. Both, Calum and her nonna took turns in talking, trying to explain as she covered her mouth, not believing the words that were said. How was she going to live without her grandmother, without her presence, not to mention her cooking, how?

The decision of leaving her granddaughter alone, was surely a really tough one but she was assured that her little girl was safe as Calum promised to take care of her. She decided she was too old to stay there. She watched Lia grow up into something she was so proud of, but she had to let her go, let her interact with people her age, not some old annoying grandmas. 

She was going to be settled in a small elderly place near her school, just ten minutes away and she was going to visit and check up on them every now and then.

Their plates were quickly emptied as all of them started clearing up the table and putting the red tablecloth back in its place. Calum was told to go unpcack his bags and try to get used to the new surroundings while the two ladies stayed in the kitchen to have a small talk.

"Don't worry nonna we promise we won't do anything stupid and if we ever need anything Mrs Hemmings is next door, litterally!" She tried to assure the worried woman that there would be no damage done and that they would both stay safe. 

After an hour has passed the old woman's bags were fully packed and ready to be carried down to the taxi cab. Calum tried to be as polite as possible by taking them down to the vehicle and putting them in the back seat. Nonna hugged both of them as tightly as she could before saying her last goodbye. 

They stood in front of the building waiting untill the car was out of sight. She got closer to Calum, wrapping her arms around his waist and pressing her head onto his chest, gently squeezing him and making him let out a small laugh before he hugged back. 

As they were standing there she recognised a very familiar figure approaching them but not looking really satisfied. She broke away and walked towards Luke, who seemed like he couldn't wait until she was in his arms. 

"Hey where were you go-?" She didn't finish as he harsly pressed his lips against hers, moving them slightly faster than usuall as his right hand was placed on her waist. She kinda got what he was doing and started to smile under the kiss.

"Can you guys make out somewhere this is kinda getting really awkward for me." Calum said as Luke stopped and looked at her with a confused look.

"Luke this is my friend Calum, ugh he kinda had to leave the town for a few years and well now he is back and kinda staying at my place." She gave him a really awkward smile as he stepped up front to hand shake with the guy.

"Calum this is Luke, he is ugh-"

"I'm her boyfriend." He said and shook the other boy's hand. She had to admit she was surprised by his reaction. Did he said that just to piss Calum off or did he really mean it?

"Nice to meet you boyfriend and if you excuse me I kinda forgot to do something up in the flat." Luke just smiled, realizing he was acting stupid for nothing and put his hand behind his neck, like he always did when he was nervous.

"I'll see you around." Calum said his last words before jogging up the stairs.

"Before you say anything I just wanted to say I'm sorry I shouldn't have done that and jump to conclusi-" 

"Luke seriosly it's okay, I get it and besides that I uh kinda have to admit um I liked it when you kissed me like that." 

"So you like it rough eh?" He raised an eyebrow and licked his lower lip.

"Shut up."
