no matter how deep your skin, how light your skin, how curly your hair, how straight your hair, how thin you are,how thick you are, don't let anyone put you down,no matter what people say

no matter how deep your skin,
how light your skin,
how curly your hair,
how straight your hair,
how thin you are,
how thick you are,
don't let anyone put you down,
no matter what people say.

take those braids,
those cornrows,
them bantu knots,
take those locs,
those curly strands,
them twists,
take your hair styles,
and slay.

ignore those stares,
forget them snickers,
push away the hate,
and go about your day.

your black elders, remember them
your black historical figures, who got you here like Fredrick Douglass, and Rosa Parks, remember them.
to all of their sacrifices, those respects to them, pay.

cause when we come together,
we are so beautiful and unique from the society,
our melanin is powerful, and strong,
our justice is hugely important.
so when you see your brothers and sisters,
don't forget to tell em
❤️ Aye! ❤️
