Poor Akamaru (Inuzuka Kiba) [Naruto]

"Haha... He's certainly cheerful today, isn't he..."

"I mean... it has been two and a half years, after all, Jiraiya-sensei."

"Hmm? What about you, Yuki-chan? You left to train, too."

"Of course I'm happy~" you replied with a closed-eye smile before leaping onto the same pole Naruto was on.

"Ahhh, those two..." mumbled Jiraiya.

"It hasn't changed one bit!!" Naruto exclaimed. "They even added Tsunade's ugly old mug to the mountain! Ha!!"

"Eh~? Amazing..." Your nostalgic feeling was soon replaced by panic as a certain memory had resurfaced. "Ah! How could I forget?"

"Yuki-chan??" Naruto called, alarmed by your panicked demeanor.

"I've got to find them!!" you shouted as you leaped from building to building. "Later, Naruto-kun! Kakashi-san!!"

"Well. It doesn't seem like she's changed much," noted Kakashi.

"Eh-? When did you get here, Kakashi-sensei!??"

"I wonder if he still remembers...?"

"I'm really sorry, Kiba-kun."

"Yuki? Oi. Yuki! E-Eh!?? Don't tell me you're crying!! Awww, geez."

You sniffled a few times and wiped a few stray tears."You're not mad...?" you asked as you lifted your head and peered into his eyes.

He gave you a cocky smirk. "Heh. It would only be fitting for a man of the Inuzuka clan to have a strong woman by his side."

"Eh??" you sounded, heat rising to your face.

"Just make sure you come back. You'll have to come back to see how awesome I'll be. Right, Akamaru??"

"If I remember correctly, I promised to find him..."

"Here!!" You quickly jumped off the building and mid-air, you screamed "Kiba!!"

At the sound of your voice, you could see his and Akamaru's head turn around.

"Yu-Yuki??"

Kiba quickly pushed off the ground and tackled you as you were about to land, Akamaru immediately following.

He swiftly pinned you to the ground, giving you one of his wild smirks. 

"Ki-Kiba!!" you yelped, embarrassed that you had ended up in such an intimate position.

As if realizing the situation he was in, he felt his face become hot.

"Woah... You look..."

"'You look' what??"

"N-Nothing..." he replied nervously. He immediately got up from his position, hoisting you up with him.

There was a moment of silence as he held you in his arms, Akamaru resting at your feet.

Kiba being this silent is definitely rare and uncharacteristic of him, but your absence made him realize that he couldn't be apart from you for more than a couple months.

Of course he didn't truly realize it until Hana knocked some sense into him. Nonetheless, your absence still affected him greatly; Shino, Hinata and Kurenai often finding him more distracted and less energetic than usual.

Kiba had missed you a lot. He missed your scent, the sound of your voice, the sight of you playing with Akamaru, the mischievous glint in your eyes when you thought of a good prank, and he especially missed you by his side. Hell, he missed everything about you.

"I'm back, Kiba."

He grunted in acknowledgement and tightened his hold on you. "Oi, Yuki."

"Hmm?"

"His voice definitely got a bit deeper... and he feels a lot stronger now..." You noted dazedly, unaware that he had tilted your chin up.

"Close your eyes."

"Eh?? Why?"

He gave you another mischievous smirk and boldly declared, "I'm gonna mark you."

"Eh-? EH!? Wait, wait, wait, Kiba!"

He ignored your cries and sank his teeth into the crook of your neck.

"A-Ah! Ki-Kiba!! That... h- Ow!! Not there!! O-Oi!"

Kiba then proceeded to lick the marks he had made on your neck and chest before flashing you a wide grin.

"You jerk!!" You yelled as you softly punched him in the chest. "At least don't do it in front of Akamaru... Oh, my poor baby..."

Kiba looked down at his partner, noticing that Akamaru's paws were shielding his eyes.

"Sorry, boy. But you're gonna have to get used to it."

"That's-- wait, what??"
