Coincidence

Eun and I walked a couple blocks down to where the party was taking place. It was colder outside, but I didn't want to wear a coat to the party so I wore a flannel and endured the weather. I kept my phone in hand, hoping to feel a buzz. Eun hadn't sacrificed her warmth and was smart enough to wear a coat.

"(Y/N), why didn't you just bring a jacket?"

I just laughed, rubbing my arms hoping to increase the blood flow and warm them up a bit. I was distracted most of the walk, thinking about how Eun had liked Jeon Jungkook for so long and never said a word. I couldn't do that, I wasn't very good at keeping secrets.

Once we got there, I shrugged off my flannel and tied it around my waist to reveal my bare shoulders. I walked over to some people I knew from my history class, and joined in their conversation. Eun followed and made a joke that made everyone laugh. There were drinks, but I wasn't in the mood to get drunk.

We were soon laughing and dancing, until I noticed Eun freeze and something blue flashed in the corner of my eye. I turned and involuntarily froze as well. There, across the room, were the boys I had met today, Jungkook and all. 

I hadn't even considered that Jungkook would be invited though I suppose it made sense. He was a very popular student. The rest of them didn't go to our school, but nobody would object to having them here. 

Yoongi brushed his hair out of his eyes and turned in my general direction. I turned and grabbed Eun's arm to make it look like we weren't staring. She seemed like she was in a trance, in complete awe of Jungkook. I managed to turn her around, attempting to join back in the conversation from before.

A hand on my shoulder made me jump, and I turned around to see Hoseok with a wide grin on his face. He put his arm over my shoulder and gave me a brief hug, laughing at my surprise. I was soon laughing along as he took me over to the other boys. Eun was left looking confused, but she was quickly distracted by something funny said by the History kids.

I smiled at all the boys, my eyes lingering momentarily on Yoongi who was saying something to Taehyung. Jimin and Namjoon were holding drinks, but everyone else seemed sober. Jungkook somehow managed to acquire a drink, but Jin was immediately on his case, taking it away. Many people at this party, including us, were underage. That didn't stop most people here, but I had the feeling Jin was a sort of mother to the group. 

Yoongi finally directed his attention to me, his eyes briefly darting to my uncovered white shoulders. 

"You look nice, what're you doing here?"
