I began the walk home, speed walking as fast as my sore legs would allow. I pulled on my jacket, thinking about Yoongi's smile. I hoped I would see them again, but I didn't know how I would. I reached my hands into my pockets, surprised to find them not empty.
I pulled my hand out, and in it was a small picture of Yoongi. On the back was a phone number that I could only assume was his. I couldn't hide the wide smile that came to my face. I must've looked crazy, grinning like that, all the while speed walking in the direction of the school.
I got there faster then I had planned, realizing that I didn't have an excuse for being late. I pulled the door open, trying my best to slip in unnoticed. Unfortunately, it wasn't that easy.
"(Y/N)? Where've you been?" I flinched, and looked up at my roommate. Eun was a good friend, but I didn't want her to know that I skipped school, nor that I spent the afternoon with Jungkook's roommates. She had liked him since they were in primary school together, and likely knew a lot more about their band then I did.
"I stayed after class, had to ask the professor about my history assignment." I smiled at her, to best sell my lie. I collapsed onto my bed, dropping my bag and sinking into the blankets. She narrowed her eyes for a moment, but didn't say anything more.
I pulled out my phone and put in the number, debating what to say.
**(Y/N): hey :)**
I laid down, expecting to wait for a response, but was surprised as I received a text only seconds later.
**Yoongi: hi :) are you feeling better?**
Eun gave a strange look, probably because I was grinning like an idiot.
"You ready to go to the party tonight?" I looked up at Eun, having completely forgotten. We were going to a party that night, in about three hours.
"I completely forgot! I'm gonna go shower." I rushed into the bathroom, leaving my phone on the sink and Yoongi's text unanswered. As the water rushed over my bruised limbs, he was the only thing I could think about. His smile was imprinted in my brain. I didn't know when I would see him again, but only the future would tell.
After I finished my shower, I dried off and pulled on a simple black dress and some converse highs. Eun helped me with my hair, as I finally responded to Yoongi's text.
**(Y/N): I'll live lol**
"(Y/N), wanna go get dinner before the party?" Eun loved going out for food, so we went as often as budget would allow.
"Sure, where do you wanna go?"
In the end, we couldn't agree on a restaurant so we went to the store and bought some ramen. As I cooked it on the stove, my phone buzzed. I excitedly picked it up, disappointed to see that it wasn't him. Just a notification from the news, talking about the upcoming music awards next month. I dismissed it, and went back to cooking.
After we ate, we touched up and left for the party.
