chapter 32: Peggy gets kissed ig

"Angelica do you think he'll like his present?" Peggy asked.
"Didn't you say he was obsessed with turtles." Angelica asked.
Peggy nodded.
"Then duh he'll like the present." Angelica said.
The box rattled and Peggy squirmed.
"Are you sure the turtle can breathe I'm pretty sure John wouldn't like a dead turtle for a birthday present." Peggy said.
"The man at the store said he could so I'm guessing he could breathe." Angelica said.

When they got to the party Angelica hopped out the car and grabbed the box with the turtle inside.
Peggy and Angelica walked inside the go kart place and Peggy ran up to John and gave him a big hug.
"Happy birthday John." Peggy said and John smiled.
"Thanks pegs." He said.
"Uh where should we put the presents at?" Peggy asked.
John pointed to a table.
"Right there where the cake is at." John answered.

Angelica walked away and Peggy awkwardly bit her lip.
"So uh I can't believe you're 13 damn you're getting old." Peggy said and John laughed.
That's when Peggy saw Erica Greene walk in.
"You invited her?" Peggy asked.
"My mom made me." John answered.
Angelica walked back when she saw a girl hug John.
She watched Peggy's face who looked like a mix of jealousy and annoyance.

"Alright kids go to the go karting field!" Mrs. Laurens yelled.
Angelica caught up with Peggy.
"Who was that hugging john?" Angelica asked.
"Erica Greene." Peggy answered with a roll of her eyes. "She likes John too."
"Is she in your grade?" Angelica asked.
Peggy nodded.
"No fucking way she looks like she's my age." Angelica said.
"Puberty does wonders." Peggy said.

When they got to the go-kart field they were instructed to get a partner Peggy chose John of course.
Erica walked up to John.
"Hey John do you want to be my partner?" Erica asked.
"Sorry I'm going with Peggy." John said.
Erica looked at Peggy then back at John.
"Oh ok." Erica said as she walked away to go find some other partner.

"Alright who's driving the car?" John asked.
Peggy climbed into the drivers seat and smiled.
"Let me drive us females know how to do this." Peggy said.
John laughed as he pretended to open the door for peggy.
Peggy hopped into the kart followed by John and drove to the finish line.

Peggy looked at Erica who was in the next cart with this boy named Lafayette.
Hmmm lafayette looks a lot like thomas. Peggy thought.
Erica looked at John and smiled. John looked back at her and smiled slightly. Erica gave Peggy a dirty look.
Peggy rolled her eyes as she gave Erica a dirty look.

"Alright everybody start your engines!" The starter said.
Peggy licked her lips and gripped her hands on the steering wheel.
"On your mark get set go!" The starter yelled.
Peggy slammed her foot on the engine and her and John soon found themselves in first place.
"You're a pretty good driver." John said and Peggy smiled.
"Thanks."
"You're hair also looks pretty." John mumbled.
"What did you say?" Peggy asked as she turned the steering wheel left.
John blushed slightly and shook his head.

Meanwhile Angelica was sitting with John's mother.
"So when are you due?" John's mom asked.
"Next month." angelica answered.
John's mom sighed and then smiled at angelica.
"I was the same age as you when I had john it was very stressful my parents wanted me out of the house because they didn't want to help me raise the baby so I went to live with my grandmother." John's mom said.
"Wow at first my dad kicked me out but then he wanted me back." Angelica said.

"Angelica you're very lucky. You have a loving family. The father of your baby actually wants the baby and stayed with you. And Angelica you're happy. It doesn't matter what anyone thinks all that's matter is if your happy." Mrs.Laurens said.
Smiling Angelica gave her a hug but her stomach got in the way.
"I wanna get this thing out of me." Angelica groaned.
"Trust me you don't." Mrs.Laurens said.

Peggy and John soon approached them.
"John did you have fun go-karting?" Mrs.laurens asked and john nodded.
"Yeah. Peggy is such a good go-kart driver." John said.
Peggy beamed as she held up their trophy.
"Look what we won!" Peggy yelled.
Angelica smiled.
"Don't you think it's time to open up presents?" Angelica asked.
Mrs.Laurens nodded.
"John, peggy why don't you call everyone to the present table." Mrs.Laurens said.

At the present table Erica placed her big present in front of John's.
"Open mines first it's from me obviously." Erica said as she giggled.
John opened it and fake smiled. Why would erica buy him a transformers set. Today was his 13th birthday what did he look like he was six.
John looked at his mom who mouthed 'say thank you'.
John sighed and turned to erica.
"Thanks Erica this is a cool gift." John said.
Erica smiled and turned to Peggy.

After opening a few presents Peggy handed John her present.
"This one is from me." Peggy said.
"Why is it moving?" John asked.
"It probably has rats in it." Erica commented.
"Erica shut up." Peggy snapped popping the P in up.
Erica scowled.
John opened the box and lifted the turtle from out of the box.
"peggy you got me a turtle thanks your so wonderful." John said.
He put the turtle on the table and gave Peggy a hug. Suddenly that hug escalated into a kiss.

When the kiss was over John and peggy looked at the crowd of kids watching them. Erica looked pissed as fuck.
Suddenly Peggy's cheeks started to turn red and she started to run away from the group.
Mrs.Laurens looked at the group of kids and then at John.
"Well uh how about we all go eat some cake." Mrs.Laurens said.
John walked to Angelica.
"Is she mad at me?" John asked.
"No she isn't she a 12 year old girl who just got her first kiss she's overwhelmed." Angelica said. "I'll go talk to her she'll be back soon."
John nodded and left to go get some cake.

Angelica found Peggy sitting by a tree in the field.
"Peggy are you OK?" Angelica asked.
"No what if john regrets kissing me. I just embarrassed him in front of all of his guy friends. I just kissed him in front of Erica Greene she's going to mess with me even more now." Peggy said.
Angelica tried her hardest to sit down next to Peggy. After 5 tries she finally was sitting next to Peggy.
"Peggy let me tell you a story. when I was around your age I used to get the worst acne. And when I would go with thomas I always thought he would be embarrassed to be seen with me. but you know what Thomas wasn't embarrassed to be seen with me because he liked me and as long as he liked me it didn't matter what anybody else says." Angelica said.

"What if john is embarrassed by me?" Peggy asked wiping her tears.
"Peggy he isn't. He just asked me if you were mad at him." Angelica said.
"but I'm not." Peggy said.
"Then you tell him that Peggy he really needs to know." angelica said.
Peggy gave angelica a hug.
"Wish me good luck." Peggy said.
"Peggy wait." Angelica said.
Peggy turned back around.
"What?" she asked.
"Help me up please." Angelica squeaked.
Peggy ran to go help her sister.

When Peggy got back to the party she heard Erica and some of the other boys snickering at her. Sighing Peggy pulled John aside.
"Peggy are you ok?" John asked.
"I'm fine." Peggy said. "Look I'm sorry for running away from you out there. I really do like you it's just that I thought that I had embarrassed you in front of my friends when we kissed?"
John shook his head laughing a bit.
"Embarrassed? Peggy I'm not embarrassed by you. Why would I? There's nothing wrong with you." John said.
Peggy shrugged looking down.
"I don't know why I thought that I'm really stupid-"
"Hey don't call yourself that." John said giving Peggy a hug.

Angelica watched in the corner smiling. Peggy and john reminded Angelica of how thomas and her were at their age.
Angelica looked at John and Peggy one more time before she went to go help Mrs.Laurens.
