Robinstar and Blacksun watched as the camp filled with life. Warriors were waking up along with apprentices and kits. Robinstar's mate, Mintglare had left the nursery and now sat beside him watching as Dustkit played with the other kits. Mintglare was a black furred she-cat with mint green eyes that could pierce you if provoked. Mintglare was normally a very gentle cat but her temper was not to be trifled with. The she-cat was born and raised in Moon clan, the clan directly across the lake from Tree clan. The two had met a gathering as newly named warriors.

Every cat was talking about how quiet Mintglare was but Robinstar had approached her anyway. She was soft spoken yes but she had the ability to carry a conversation if she wanted to. Robinstar remembered their first conversation.

"So you're Mintglare?" A young Robinstar had asked.

"Yes," She had answered softly.

"Why do they call you that?" He asked.

"What do you mean?" She looked at him confused.

"Your eyes are very warm and kind. Your name doesn't make any sense." He told her.

"I've been told I have a fierce temper." She whispered.

"Really? You wouldn't suspect it from a she-cat like you. I bet you're really kind and gentle most of the time." Robinstar mewed as he sat down next to her.

"My clan mates say that is my weakness." Mintglare looked down.

"Not at all! It takes a lot of strength to choose kindness over violence. Many choose to fight and few choose peace. Those few are what keep hope flowing throughout the clans." Robinstar smiled at her.

Mintglare looked at him in surprise before flashing a bright smile that made Robinstar's ears burn and his heart skip a beat. It was that beautiful smile and kind heart that he fell in love with that night.

The two of them would make sure to meet at every gathering. Cats suspected something was going on of course and as a result Brightstar whom was leader at the time had made him deputy to try to keep his mind focused on the clan and not Mintglare. Robinstar still didn't forget her and they continued to meet at gatherings until one gathering they were called out on the subject. Blacksun and his mate, Rosewater were the only cats to speak up for them. Brightstar and Skystar, leader of Moonclan at the time didn't listen and forbid them from seeing each other. Robinstar went home that night thinking he would never see his love again but when he returned to camp, Mintglare was there waiting for him. She had left her clan so she could be with him. Brightstar let her stay on the condition she was never to go back, Mintglare accepted her new lifestyle. Shortly after that the two of them had kits, Dustkit and Snakekit.

Robinstar didn't know what he would do if he didn't have Mintglare by his side. When war with another clan came up she often help him return the peace. Their kits were growing up with the same way of think as her too. Dustkit and Snakekit never fought and often were he peace makers among the kits. Robinstar was proud of his mate, his kits, and his clan.

"Anything new?" Mintglare asked.

"Just Wolfclaw being a lazy mentor." Robinstar frowned.

"Are you going to talk to him about it?" Blacksun asked.

"Yes, right now actually", Robinstar stood up.

He looked around the camp to find Wolfclaw sitting near the elder's den with Loststorm sitting next to him. Robinstar padded over to them only to be ignored as Loststorm flirted with the tom. "Excuse me." Robinstar meowed only to earn a glare from Loststorm.
