Robinstar looked up to find that the sun was starting to set. Goldpaw was sitting under the oak she had been practicing on which was now covered in scratches. Swiftspots was licking his dirt bathed pelt vigorously in an attempt to clean his fur. Goldpaw was finally able to do the move properly but she just needs to work on pushing herself off the tree harder. Goldpaw had asked if they were going to train again tomorrow but Robinstar decided the apprentices would be hunting tomorrow instead. Leaf-bare was edging closer and closer and Robinstar wanted his clan to be prepared.
"Should we head back now?" Goldpaw asked, standing up.
"Yeah, anymore dirt and I think Swiftspots will lose it." Robinstar purred.
"I had so much dirt on my fur, my spots weren't even spots anymore!" The tom complained.
Goldpaw and Robinstar laughed at the brownish red tom. Swiftspots stood up and walked ahead and lead the way back to camp.
"Do you worry about the clan while you're gone Robinstar?" Goldpaw asked, walking next to him.
"Blacksun is a very capable cat. He is loyal an trustworthy. I always leave the clan in safe paws." Robinstar answered.
"You and Blacksun have been friends since you were kits, right?" Goldpaw went on.
"Yes, although he is a couple moons older then me." Robinstar told her.
"I bet Snakekit will be a clan leader one day." Goldpaw smiled.
Robinstar was about to agree with the young she-cat but a loud shriek made him stop in his tracks. Robinstar looked towards the lake were the sound had came from. "Swiftspots, take Goldpaw back to camp and send Nightwatcher." Robinstar ordered and Swiftspots and Goldpaw sped off towards the camp. Robinstar broke into a sprint, I know that shriek! Robinstar ran as fast as he could, jumping over roots and dodging bushes. Robinstar skidded to a stop as he spotted the lake a couple tail lengths away from him. Water swiftly surrounded his paws. Robinstar looked towards the Field clan border and saw nothing but defiant waves climbing their way up the shore. Robinstar looked towards the Lake clan border and the hair on his pelt rose in anger.
A tail length across the border into Lake clan territory. Cottonkit and Dustkit were wailing as loud as they could on the pebble covered shore. Grizzlypaw was standing in the water with his shoulder's haunch, pushing something under the water. The tom's brown tail lashed, splashing water as the crying kits behind him while and smirk was planted under his nose. Robinstar watched as a small black paw appeared for a moment before disappearing again. That's Snakekit! Robinstar dashed along the shore and across the border and without hesitation he barreled into Grizzlypaw. The tom yelped in surprise and fell into the water with a big splash. In blind rage, Robinstar swung his claws and grazed the apprentice's right cheek. Then he held the apprentice down with his front paws and was about to bite down on the apprentice's neck with a pair of teeth bit down on his scruff and pulled him away from Grizzlypaw. Robinstar was pulled back to the shore before he was released. He turned to find the cat who had pulled him away was Nightwatcher. Dustkit and Cottonkit were sitting around a drenched Snakekit. Snakekit lay on the ground, letting out fast, short breaths. Dustkit was trying to lick his brother dry. Grizzlypaw was sitting in the water, staring at the water as his cheek bled.
"We have visitors." Nightwatcher mumbled.
Robinstar turned around to find the Lake clan deputy, Splashspirit and two warriors, Ivyheart and Miraclefur following close behind. They stopped a tail length away.
"Why are you on our territory?" Splashspirit questioned.
"One of our apprentices decided to test my limits but we will leave right away." Robinstar answered.
