Boomer/Takai POV

"Just he careful," Momoko called

"I am," Miyako called back. She was fixing the banner for the schools club fair. I was drawing in my book, when I heard a creak.

"Huh?" Momoko looked up. The boy at the bottom sneezed letting go of the ladder. It creaked and Miyako fell. My heart starting racing. I ran and caught her. As she hit the floor in my arms, she hugged me crying.

"I got you," I said barely above a whisper.

"Miyako!" Momoko yelled, her and a bunch of girls surrounded her. Kaoru was the only one who checked on me before I was pushed out of the crowd.

"What?" I asked to Brick and Butch who were looking at me. "You want their trust one way or another, I'm not wasting time. Was I supposed to let her fall?"

"Just making sure you know where your heads at," Butch said

"I know I haven't been the nicest, but thank you Boomer," Momoko said in tears.

"Sure thing," I smiled. I glad she's okay. "The worst is a broken arm."

Later on it was the familiar scene of me and Miyako. "What'd you draw today," she asked

"Um nothing really," I blushed

"Come on let me see," she urged

"I-It's n-nothing!'" I blushed more. I accidentally dropped it and she picked it up. Her face grew pink, and eyes widen. Busted. "Oh no. Hey I'mreally sorry, I didn't-"

"I-It's me," she said. Her mouth turned to a smile. She hugged me "I love the picture."

I smiled. "Wait really? O-Oh um, you can have it! It's yours anyway."

Brick/Akari POV

"He did say the blonde was easy," I said

"That means doesn't bode well for us," Butch said

"I know," I replied with a sigh. Butch had more or less already pushed the idea aside and walked off. I followed him til I heard a familiar voice.

"Oh no she's crying," the girl said, one of Princess's followers. I turned to see them behind Momoko, tears running down her face. I hid behind the corner listening to the onslaught of girls.

"Why don't you go to bug boy, he'll comfort you," another laughed

"Bug Girl," they chanted over and over

"I'm not a Bug Girl. Randy is my friend and I'm still his friend no matter what you say. You Barbie's don't have anything better to do?" she yelled

"While you waste your time with losers, we're going for hotties," she said "Like Akari, or Takai, or Kyo. I'm telling you now, don't think that whatever connection you have now is gonna last."

"What if I said I like Momoko," I stepped out and stood beside her. Momoko stared at me witch a confused look and I sent a wink back. "Do I count as a hottie or loser? I'm fine with either one. You can't pick on her just because of her friends, then you'd be picking on me and my brothers. Now like she said do you Barbie's have anything better to do?"

The two main girls stood there in shock, the gang of followers depleted and they walked away. Momoko was blushing and then smiling.

"You are something else," she said with a smile "Why'd you do that, talk to them like that."

"I would do anything to gain your trust now," I chuckled "You think I care what a bunch of immature brats have to say about me?"

"How long were you there?" She asked as we turned to walk in the opposite direction.

"Long enough." I replied "It's not right for them to pick on you, someone had to say something."

She smiled to herself and sighed in relief "Thanks Brick."

Butch/Kyo POV

I almost wanted to gag at my brother's smugness. He was so lucky that the brave 'leader' gets picked. I kept walking until I found myself at the track field.

"Leave me alone!" Kaoru yelled

"Stop being difficult," a boy said.

"If I have to tell you again, it won't be pretty," she warned

"When are you gonna admit you like me?" He smirked

"When I'm dead," she shot with a deadly look in her eye I knew too well.

"She said leave her alone," I called out.

"This your bodyguard?" he stepped to me and held me by my shirt collar. "Stay out of it." he slammed me against the ground "I got better things to do. Bye Matsubara."

"Are you okay?" Kaoru asked

"Yeah sure," I said

"Kai, likes messing with everyone," she helped me up "You didn't have to do that."

"Yes I did, why would I let you get harassed?" I smiled brushing off my clothes.

"Fine go ahead get your ass handed to you," she smirked

"If it means no one harasses you, I will," I laughed

"News flash, I'm not so lucky. Danger lurks around every corner. I see it a mile away."

"I'm dangerous?" I asked as she packed her duffle bag and handed it to me. I looked at her questionably.

"Make yourself useful." She said tying her sneakers "And yes, you are the most dangerous thing I've encountered yet."

"Hopefully that'll change."

"Doubt it."
