A/N: Hello dear Reader,
Thank you for being here! How do you like Kaitlin's perspective so far? I think she is a difficult character and a little bit immature in my taste. But what do you think?
For the ones who have tried so far to get into her and have not managed to befriend her can also skip ahead to the next part that will be marked in 'x' behind the chapter title, marking from which chapter the perspective changes. The story is chronological, so you will miss some details and events, but it is possible.
This perspective is not meant to torture you but meant to give you an insight into a character. Nevertheless, the choice is yours on how you read this!
Cheers!
The next morning we had some time to kill, so we decided to go to a farewell a little outside the city. It was awkward between us when we all four met in the hallway and didn't know what to say, so we decided to say nothing instead. James and Tiffany were the ones blushing furiously, giving away that something happened between them, which made me narrow my eyes at them. At the same time, Conner and I looked at them unimpressed. In contrast, we walked around with confidence, not giving a hint about what we did or that anything happened in the first place.
It was our dirty little secret anyway. I was wearing black overalls, with a black t-shirt with pink Mickey's print on it. Tiffany wore the same, just hers was pink with black Mickey's, she also had the ears on which she claimed to be cute that we consequently both had to wear. I did it as a favor in annoyance at first but then started liking the idea of being in partner look with my bestie.
The boys bought us pink cotton candy, which melted on my tongue deliciously. Tiffany was the whole time giggling at James. It was obnoxious really, they were never really like this. I knew that Tiffany had a crush on him for a while, but she never was this annoyingly obvious about it. And James...well, I didn't even know that he liked her any more than a friend until now. Then again, it's not like I understand anything about his choice of girls. Tiffany and I are clearly not the same types. He obviously appreciated her company and the appreciation she had for him. He was a sucker for that. Conner and I were left trailing after them as if we were extras.
"They are so obvious," I commented.
"Maybe because they don't see why they are supposed to hide it." He shrugged, and I could hear the double meaning in it.
"Because maybe it will look like that." I grimaced, pointing at them like their some kind of disease.
Conner simply rolled his eyes at me, not even trying to say something about it. I don't understand why everyone was always so in love with love these days. I can not see the appeal.
"Guys!" Tiffany shouted, turning to us, getting our attention. "We want to go on the Ferris wheel!"
"No way!" I groaned.
"Oh, come on, babe." She said and walked to me, smiling.
"No."
"Why not? You could take a ride with Conner! It would be so romantic." She sighed dreamily.
"Uh...yeah, Conner and I don't do romantic," I argued.
"Don't I?" Conner asked, surprised, making me give him a look.
"Well, at least not with me." I pointed out.
"Yeah...right. You only do dirty, I forgot!" Tiffany giggled, which made my ears heat even though she was probably only joking, but either way, I was praying I wouldn't blush.
