It's been a few hours since the after party started and just as I suspected, it's crazy. People are drunkenly doing flips off of the second story balcony into the pool, crowd surfing in the living room, and so much more.

Right now, I'm on my way to the bathroom. Just as I'm about to walk through the bathroom door, I feel my phone vibrate in my back pocket so I set my drink on the staircase banister and check my messages.

"Can you come upstairs.. I wanna talk really quick?" A text from Sam.

I text him back saying 'okay'.  I relieve myself in the bathroom quickly, then grab my drink from the banister and start checking different rooms to see where he is. Just as I'm about to walk down a hallway, I start to feel dizzy and nauseous. I sit at the top of the steps for a second to see if it'll go away, but it only gets significantly worse.

The last thing I remember is tumbling down the stairs.

*Sams POV*

I've had a few drinks tonight so I'm feeling confident. I texted Regan and she's on her way to talk to me right now, and I'm pretty excited about it. I'm gonna' tell her how much I like her and beg her to give me a chance.

I admit, her body is what caught my attention this summer but every day I notice different little details about her that make me crazy. I would love to get to know her better, which is not like me at all.

--

I wait around for 10-ish minutes until I realize that it definitely shouldn't take this long to walk upstairs and find a bedroom. I figure that she probably changed her mind about talking, so I leave the room and make my way back downstairs.

When I'm about halfway down the steps, I notice Regan at the bottom of the staircase. She's holding her head and she looks like an absolute mess. She must be extremely wasted.

I stand in my spot for a second, debating on whether or not I should go talk to her. She obviously didn't want to talk to me, and she's drunk so maybe I should just wait until another day.

I begin walking down again, but stop when I see a guy approach her. He kneels down and says something to her, but I can't quite make out what.

Regan nods her head 'no' for some reason then the guy pouts and scoops her up into his arms. It's when she's in the guys arms that I realize something's not right. She seems almost lifeless. She's definitely more than just drunk.

Once I put the pieces together, I'm furious. Regan and the guy are already out of sight so I rush downstairs and frantically begin searching through the crowd for them.

--

Eventually I figure out the room they're in and bust through the door. When I enter, I see the guy hovering on top of Regan, pressing his lips against hers. Next to the guy are two other girls who seem to be drunk, but not drugged in any sort of way. They're seductively rubbing their hands up and down Regan's arms. This is unbelievably disturbing.

"Get the fuck off of her!" I run over to the bed and push the dude onto the floor. I then run to the side he fell on and sock him in his face several times. Once he's good and battered up, I pick Regan up, completely look past the two creepy chicks and rush her upstairs to the room I was previously in.

"You better be okay or that guy is going to fucking die tonight" I say out loud.

I've never had to deal with a situation like this, so I'm completely panicking right now. Should I call the cops? Should I just drive her to the hospital myself? Does she even have to go to the hospital or will she wake up soon? I have no fucking idea.

Eventually I decide to just text Jack.

"Meet me upstairs in the bedroom by the blue-ish bathroom. It's an emergency bro" I pray to God that he gets that message. He might not even have his phone on him right now.

About 5 minutes later, the door flies open.

"What's the emergency?!" His eyes practically bulge out of his head when he spots Regan on the bed.

"There she is! What the fuck happened?"

"Someone slipped something in her drink I think. I found her in a bedroom with some guy and two other girls"

"Do you know who the guy was? Are the other two girls still in there? We better help them!" He's pacing around the room.

"Um I'm almost 100% sure that the two girls were trying to take advantage of Regan with the guy. And I'm pretty sure it was Logan from the basketball team but I was so pissed I barely even paid attention"

"Dammit man how could I have let this happen? Thank you so much for getting her out of there. What're we gonna do?" He seems just as clueless as me.

"Maybe you should just take her to your place. I think she'll probably wake up in an hour or two, and she'll be groggy and probably feel horrible. Just make sure she drinks a lot of water and take care of her. And while she's out, just keep checking to make sure she's still breathing. I'll find Liz on my way out and tell her to cover for her with her parents"

"You're leaving?"

"Yeah. You got this from here. When she wakes up just say that you were the one that found her in the room, okay?"

"Why?"

"Just do it"

Regan likes Jack. Not me. If she knows that I'm the one who got her out of that situation, she might feel like she owes me something and that's not the way I want to win her over. And anyways, it doesn't matter who got her out of there. All that matters right now is her waking up and getting back on her feet.

*Regan's POV*

I flutter my eyes open and notice that my surroundings are completely different. I'm not at Cameron's party anymore, I'm in Jack's bedroom.

Confused, I sit up in his bed but instantly regret the decision because as soon as I'm up, my head begins to throb like it's never throbbed before.

I glance to my right and notice Jack, standing by the bed, staring at me like an excited puppy.

"You're awake!" He exclaims while shoving a glass of water in my face. I grab it but don't take a drink.

"What the hell happened? Did I get too wasted and fall downstairs or something? Because all I remember is falling downstairs" Must have been an epic party since I can't remember most of it.

"Um that's not exactly what happened... Someone from the basketball team slipped something in your drink.." Oh God. I feel nauseous.

"What? Oh my gosh. Did he.. You know? I can't feel anything in my body. I can't believe how disgusting some people are.

"No no no I um I stopped him before he could do anything, I punched him actually then took you upstairs and took you back here" Jack says, shifting uncomfortably as he speaks. He must have been scare shit-less.

"Thank God. What about my parents? They're gonna be so mad that I'm not home right now" I start searching for my phone to call my parents and make up some excuse, but when I find it Jack snatches it away from me.

"Reg, Liz said you were staying at her place. It's fine, you're fine. Just relax and drink some water, okay? I'll take care of you tonight" I smile and do what he says.

"Thanks Jack. I really appreciate this"

"Yeah... No problem..." The rest of the night is spent sipping on water, nibbling on crackers and talking with Jack.

The whole time we're talking, I can't help but notice some sort of weird tension, but I ignore it.

Definitely not the night that I expected.

I didn't really know how to end this chapter haha. Sooo team Jack or Sam?(;
