It's sad. Lonely even. Missi couldn't help but wonder if this is what Duke felt like when he lived his life for god-knows-how-long in this dark eerie castle alone. It was huge, no doubt. It was everything a human being could ask to live in, but then again there isn't a body- never mind the fact that this is a vampire we're talking about so there's probably some lying coldly in some nook- to be seen in the place. Missi gazes outside the huge ceiling-to-floor window to look at the massive withering maze of a garden below. The silence sure is deafening even if she became a vampire only just a week ago. That's right. A vampire never felt sad for all she knows but looking at it now, maybe they could. It was only a week and here she is, wishing herself a company to whisk the loneliness she's currently feeling away. She even thought of the Duke sometimes, like what would happen if she didn't turn him into ashes.
Missi pursed her lips as she shuts the crimson curtains closed, surprisingly not wishing to look at the moon tonight. The regret she's feeling right now can be known by how her cold heart is like being pierced by a wooden stake. It was killing her slowly.
"oh devils beneath..." she whispered brokenly as she starts to walk away, feeling so cold and so vulnerable inside the dark spacious room. The soft clicking of her heels against the old wooden floor seems so loud for her pointed ears and she welcomes it against the stillness of the night.
If only she didn't kill him. Missi thought to herself.
If only she could reverse time with a spell so he'd still be here.
If only she could revive him...
Missi's head snapped up from the thought that she has to halt her steps.
Maybe she can.
Slowly, a smile forms on her pale face and the grip she has around Duke's cane tightened in excitement. She remembered there is a library in here somewhere full of books about incantations and spells, surely there is a page for resurrection. She should've thought of this earlier but then again, Missi haven't felt the ache of sadness after a week had passed.
With a new found hope, Missi ran across the dark corridor and past the countless doors until she stopped in front of one that is different than the others with its rusty surface. She opened it, and the door creaked noisily on its hinges.
"This should be easy." Missi hummed in anticipation. She made a beeline towards the nearest bookshelf and with pure luck, she quickly found the book containing what she's looking for. She snatched it off the bookshelf, tearing apart a cobweb in the process before starting to flip through the pages.
"Love potion... Cursing spell... Summoning... Can I summon him...?" Missi's brow shot up in question then her eyes narrowed in disappointment "Only for demons..."
She continues to scan through the contents until finally, she stopped at a page with a huge 'RESURRECTION' written at the top centre of the yellowish page in a bold Bamberg Normal style.
She licked her lips and then began her work after setting the book open on a nearby desk.
"Right. Let's work on this." Missi said as she set the cane on the wall.

Missi gathered the pot containing everything required for the resurrection only except for one thing: Duke's clothes- she will put it in when it's time. She dragged the pot at the centre of the largest room with so much struggle she can feel her legs shaking beneath her. Perhaps, her hardship is worth it. Hopefully.
