Missi was escorted back to her room after Duke received the letter. He wasn't that alone after all. She shrugged her shoulders and flopped down the enormous bed. One way or another, she'll be kicked out of this place no matter what, and she doesn't have a plan after that. She's been gone for two and a half weeks now, and she's scared when she returns. Her mom will be furious instead of being relieved after knowing her daughter came back alive from this place.

She rubbed at her temples while squeezing her eyes shut. Her head's now throbbing all of the sudden upon realizing the consequences.

However, Missi hopes that there is a tiny possibility that Duke would let her stay.

The vampire isn't what he seems at first glance, and after their talk, she came to realize what he's been through these past lonely years. More than that, they came to understand each other. She never had anyone who understands her just the way the vampire did, and it was a nice change. Maybe, he feels the same? Missi sighs. That's... unimportant.

Leaving is inevitable, so might as well spend her time here without worrying about the future because if she did, she might as well miss the chance of being happy even for quite a while. This night was the very first she felt comfortable with another person, and once again, it was a very nice change.

Perhaps, she and Duke may become friends after all.

Missi let her eyes fall shut.

Isn't that a lovely thought?

Once again, Missi woke up only to be greeted by darkness. By now her eyes are getting accustomed to it so there's hardly any problem when it comes to seeing in the dark. She's officially a nocturnal person now.

She got up from the bed and got ready for tonight. This time, she doesn't feel hesitation to gnaw at her nerves deciding if she should go or stay in her room for the night, and she sighed at the thought of safety around the vampire; around the entirety of the castle for the fact- there's nothing more dangerous than a vampire, said vampire is starting to be on good terms with her.

Missi pulled her door open, and unsurprisingly, there stood Scopulus. Waiting patiently by her door.

"Good evening, lady Missi."

Missi snorted in amusement at the given appellation.

"Since when did you start calling me that?"

"The lord Duke says that calling you only as 'Milady' is too impolite and so suggests that I should start addressing you as such very often in regards for the hardships you've been through, and should gain respect."
