Chapter Eight

The Kiss

Hook and I became closer and closer as the days went by. Every night he would come by my cabin to say goodnight.

Sometimes he didn't leave, and we talked through the night. But I still thought about Jack and wondered why he still

hadn't saved me. I began to think we never had anything in the first place. After spending some time above deck, night

fell so I returned to my room. When I walked in, I saw a small box with a bow tied around it. It read, to Kristen, with

love, ~J. Jack! I quirkily opened it to find a silver bracelet with a heart charm with the letter j on it. He hadn't forgotten

about me, but I didn't know how he got the present there. I heard a knock on the door.

"Did you enjoy your gift?"

"Hook? The bracelet was from you?"

"Yes. James Hook. I hope it fits."

"I thought-"

"You thought Jack gave it too you, how sweet. Well Jack can't give you this."

He leaned in closer, he grabbed me head and kissed me. I tried to pull away but I couldn't. I didn't want to. He lied me

down on the bed, still kissing me. He paused, I kissed him. We continued to kiss for what seemed like hours. It felt so right. There was sparks between us. But then he

stopped.

"Leave Kristen."

"What?"

"Leave. It was wrong of me to take you. You shouldn't be kept here."

"Take me? I thought you saved me! Besides, where would I go? I can't go to Jack!"

"Jack loves you. I told him you were dead. I'm so sorry, go."

How could he had done that? Kidnap me, tell my true love I was dead, then kiss me, then kick me out. I could never

forgive him. We docked and I got off. It was easy for me to fly since I was infuriated. I flew to the dark seas, and then to

the tree. I yelled for Jack, but no one answered. I couldn't get in because I never learned the combination. I looked down

and saw the bracelet on my wrist. But it soon disappeared from my vision, due to the tears swelling in my eyes. I

couldn't keep them open anymore, and  fell asleep.
