I laid on my bed. Despite the immense comfort, it brought my back, I couldn't help wish that I was falling into Damien's arms instead. Just as I was about to fall asleep, my phone rang and I reached for it, answering it with drooping eyelids.

"Are you home?"

"Uhhh... Yeah?" Sarah made a groan of approval before abruptly hanging up. Rolling over in my bed, I decided to let it be and try to fall asleep once more.

The abrupt knocking on my door made me groan. Why couldn't I just sleep in peace? Still dressed in Damien's clothes, I shuffled my feet to the door where another round of knocks sounded. "My, I know you're in there. Open the door!"

Rolling my eyes at my best friend, I opened the door to reveal her face. Her brown straight hair was pinned with a clip and she was still dressed in her work clothes- a light pink blouse, black pants and a Lab coat covering her shoulders. She pulled me into a hug. "I feel like I haven't seen you in forever."

I glared at her as she walked into my room. "You saw me yesterday!" Locking the front door, I followed her into my room. "What are you doing here? I thought you had work."

She already made herself cozy by laying like a starfish on my bed. "I wanted to talk about your love life since it seems to have been revived by a sexy doctor that you work with." I rolled my eyes and get on the bed, making sure to 'accidentally' sit on her face.

"Okay, I-" The familiar tone of Skype ringing, made me stop abruptly and grab my laptop. I answered when I recognized the username, revealing a familiar face. "Hey Li, how are you doing?"

She had left two weeks ago and I honestly missed her bubbly presence. "I'm good. I was calling you to tell you that I -or should I say, Zack- has figured out where my beloved family has moved. I was planning on going over there. I want to know if you'd like to tag along. I feel like you have more questions than I do." I could barely speak. Should I go?

After finding out that Evan was actually still alive, I definitely wanted to find him and get some answers out of him. He left me, alone and pregnant. Now after finding out that he was engaged, I was starting to question my plans.

"She's going." I snapped out of my daze and looked at Sarah as if she was crazy. "My, this man deserves to know he has a child and you definitely deserve to know why the hell he faked his whole death in order to leave you. So, I don't give a fuck if you don't feel like going. If you're not going to do it for yourself then do it for Ian. He at least deserves to know about his father." I closed my eyes, she had a point. A great one at that.

"When are we going?"

"Is Friday good for you?" I nodded, I could always change my work schedule if needed "So Friday?" I nodded once again. Six days from now. I could barely speak. "By the way, who's shirt is that?" I bit my lip at the question. During her stay with me, she had raided my closet, memorizing every article of clothing that I had.

"Damien's." Lia narrowed her eyes at me. I hadn't told her about Damien when she was here, just told her that I had gotten a new co-worker and hadn't mentioned that he was a guy or anything that would influence her to push me to go out with him. "He's the new co-worker I had told you about." Gosh, that didn't help. Lia knew that anytime I withdrew information, something was up. She winked at me and wiggled her eyebrows. "It doesn't mean anything. We just slept together and he lent me his clothes."

Both Sarah and Lia's eyes bulged out- mine almost did too when I realized how bad it sounded. "Oh my gosh. His mattress hasn't come in yet so we slept on the couch together. Nothing sexual happened okay. We are just friends. Plus he's my co-worker. It would be awkward if we dated and it didn't work."

"But wouldn't it be great if it did work. I mean both of you guys are smart. Both of you guys are hot. Plus you guys are both single." I rolled my eyes at Sarah. Ever since she visited me while I was working and saw Damien, she had been trying to get us together.

When I didn't respond acknowledge her comment, she turned to Lia. "They went out on a date last night- it was her first voluntary one that she's been on since that bastard." Sarah covered her mouth and apologized, Evan was her brother after all.

"Don't worry, I've called him way worse. He deserves it all for what he did." We were all silent for a few minutes before she spoke again. "Anyways, what do you mean by voluntary date?"

Sarah then went on to explain her, Nikki, among many other people, have attempted many times to send me on blind dates. They all managed to go horribly wrong- partly due to my unenthusiastic involvement in the date and also is to my date's tendency to foot me with the bill (most had asked to go to the bathroom after the waiter had set the bill on the table).

One had the audacity to hand the waiter the empty book, went to the bathroom and never came back which left me with $70 less in my back pocket and a huge amount of embarrassment on my shoulders.

"How was it anyway? I need to know how you ended up on his couch." I told them the story which resulted in them gushing about how cute we would be together.

"You guys, can't I just figure out what's going on with Evan and I before I start a new relationship?" Sure Damian was a great guy but I wanted to deal with my ex, my baby's father, before adding another man into the mix.

"I know Evan is my brother and all but you two are not getting back together; Not while I'm alive at least. Mya, you are way too good for him."

"I know. I'm not getting back with him but what if he wants custody? How am I meant to bring a new relationship with that sort of drama?" They both shut their mouths.
