Porgs have stereoscopic vision that helps them to spot fish swimming near the island, dense feathers and down insulated body keep the porg warm in during frequent rain storms that happen on the island. Webbed rear-set feet are ideal for swimming.
Porgs are the size and shape of bowling pins, their eyes about half of their head, they have great vision, their wings are as long as their body and strong enough to keep them in the sky and reach their cliffside nests.
Porglets are built a little different than the full grown porg, their feathers aren't thick yet, and they are mostly skin balls, their teeth and feet aren't fully developed yet. Their eyes don't open at birth, they are still developing, when they are fully developed they will have great sight. The porglets will also grow necks and the rest of their body will form until their look like a small bowling pin.
The porgs come in many colors, their main color is grey, white and orange, the orange wraps around their head like a mask, the white on their bellies and grey around the rest of their body, including the tops of their heads.
